Sweet Baby Girl

Good morning friends.  Hope you all had a terrific weekend and hopefully a warmer and less snowy weekend than we had here in West Michigan!  Did get lots of wedding stuff done though, and that is a great feeling.  And I'm also able to sit for a length of time now without stiffening up, and so I was able to actually sit down and start reading again...I've missed that!  Anyway, the card I'd like to share with you today is a baby card that I had made a while back when I was doing some cards for an order.  The idea came for this card when Paper Trey Ink had their "all white" challenge, and someone had submitted an all white baby card and I just loved it!  Here's my version of it:

This was a really simple card to make using PTI's Sweet Baby dies and white card stock! It's a 4 x 4 card base, and then a piece of white cs cut at 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 and the bottom edge punched with a Martha Stewart lacy edge punch.  I added a piece of white satin ribbon above the punched edge and then added the girafe and elephant die cuts (which were embossed with dotted ef so they would stand out against the white cs).  I tied a little piece of white embroidery floss around the girafe's neck and a little pearl for the elephants eye and a small pink heart (marvy punch) on his backside to add just a tiny punch of color.  I also added a white button with some pink embroidery floss to the white satin ribbon to balance out the right side of the card.  I finished with just a simple computer generated sentiment cut into a banner and also added a little white heart (marvey punch again) and pearl to the banner.  Here's what the inside looks like:

The little verse was again computer generated (I found this somewhere years and years ago, and have no idea who the author is...sorry!), and I used one of my Spellbinder dies to cut out the label shape.  I added another girafe embossed with the dotted swiss ef, and another small white heart and pearl to finish.  It really was a quick card to make and I think very stunning in it's all white-ness (is that a word???).  Anyway, hope you like it! :0)

That's all for today friends.  Hope you have a wonderful Monday and I'll be back with some more inspiration  tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by! :0)
