Make it Monday #212 - Fussy Cutting

Hello friends.  Was thrilled when I watched this weeks Make it Monday video, where Ashley shows us some great tips on fussy cutting, as I'm one of those odd ducks who happens to actually like fussy cutting!  However, I never thought of fussy cutting out sentiments, so thank you, thank you Ashley, as I love that idea!

I even used one of my Pencil Paper Wrap pencils to outline my sentiment from the Pretty Petals stamp set.

I love this little stamp set...it is SO easy to make a quick and pretty card!  I used Aqua Mist for the flowers, Lemon Tart for the centers, and Limeade Ice for the leaves.  A little hard to see in the photo, but I used Glossy Accents on the flower centers to bring a little "shine" to the card.  I finished with a strip of washi tape, bakers twine, and a few iridescent sequins. Quick, easy, and fun, and now I have a card to put away for next fall when my daughter heads back to college. :0)

You can check out Ashley's video and all the other great card entries right here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do! :0)

Beautiful job! I don't mind fussy cutting either. You did great and I love that you used your adhesive wrapped pencil too! :) Thanks for taking on the fussy cutting challenge for this week's Make It Monday!

This is so pretty and it amazes me that people actually like to fussy cut. I guess if you are good at it then you would like it more. I'm too impatient using the fussy cut technique. Give me dies anyday.

Such a sweet card, Marcia. I love that little stamp set also; I actually have to stop myself from using it on every card! I'm with Linda though, can't understand how anyone could like fussy cutting. It's a good thing we're all different!

Cute card, Marcia! Love the black and white stripe at the top, which makes your perfectly cut sentiment stand out. I have yet to ink up this stamp set...blush. And, thanks so very much for your ever-encouraging comments on my cards :)

Amazing card, Marcia! You did a great job with fussy cutting...I don't mind a "little" fussy cutting, but not a lot if there is a ton of details!

Fussy cutting...you know how I feel about it!! I did watch Ashley's video and seriously thought about doing it, as I've never thought of actually tracing around the image before fussy cutting. But, seriously, just give me my die cuts...lol! I will try this, but haven't had time yet!

No wonder you like fussy cutting, Marcia, as you're good at it. Great card...I always forget to use washi tape. Why am I hoarding it? I don't own this set yet but might have to bump it up on my wish list.
