Hello friends. It's a special day in our family as our granddaughter turns the big 2 today. And not only does she turn 2, but it's also her Golden Birthday - she turns 2 on September 2! For those of you out there that are grandparents, you know the special blessings they are in your life, and our little Addy is no exception! Can't tell you how much JOY and LOVE this little squirt brings to our life!
I know I'm a little biased, but is that not just the sweetest face?!! (She's not the neatest when she eats, but now that I'm a Nana, it doesn't bother me like it did when our kids were little! I guess you learn to let that stuff go when you become grandparents! :0)
Our daughter was very involved in dance during her growing up years, so of course she signed up Addy to start dance classes, and I thought it would be appropriate to use a ballerina for Addy's birthday card this year. Take a look:
I started by stenciling some pink hearts onto my background with a Heidi Swapp stencil, then added a bit of pink gingham (SSS background stamp) at the bottom and a PTI heart border at the top. The little ballerina is a PTI die which I cut 3 times and placed so that it looks like she is twirling off the card. The last one is pop dotted and I also added some pink tulle that I gathered and tied around her waist to look like a tutu. My sentiment is from an older PB set. A couple strips of silver glitter cardstock, some pink sequins, and a glittered heart finished off this cute little card.
The big party is Saturday and I'm so excited to celebrate with her and all my family...birthdays are a big thing in our family!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Make sure you stop back next Monday and I'll share some exciting news with you! :0)
