Make It Monday #273 - Spinner Cards

Hello friends.  What a FUN challenge this week with Lizzie at Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge.  Lizzie made a really cool Valentine spinner card (HERE), but since I didn't want to copy her, I used one of my new sets to make my spinner card.

I used the Boho Rounds set and embossed them in white on water color paper, and then filled in the area's using my Aqua Painter and Hawaiian Shores, Amethyst Allure, & Green Parakeet inks.  It seemed kind of plain to me after adding just one of each of the "rounds", so I added some splattering with Hawaiian Shores ink and a few sequins.  Definitely a learning curve for me using this set, but I still like the looks of it, and the spinner part is just too cool!  Had to play with it a bit before I put in in an envelope to send it off to a friend!  :0)

I can't believe I've been stamping for this many years and have never made a spinner card, but it's something I will definitely make again, so thank you, thank you Lizzie...loved this challenge!!  You can see Lizzie's great video and FABULOUS card all right HERE and then play along too!

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do!  :0)

Beautifully done Marcia! I'm totally loving the water coloring on this spinner card. Great idea to add the ink splats and sequins. They really add movement to your sweet interactive card. Love it!

Your Boho Rounds with the embossing and watercoloring turned out lovely! Isn't it funny that most of us never made a spinner card before?

Pretty spinner card, Marcia! And I see you got your January release shipment. How fun! I am still waiting for mine (was told 2-6 weeks). We in California are the last to get any shipments. ☹️

This is really beautiful Marcia. Great interactive card with the spinning motion. I saw these around many years ago, but have never made one. Very cool! xx

Know what? Never made a spinner either, and so glad to learn the 'how-tos'.
Ok, didn't get that set, and living in regret. Love the colors you used and the trio of spheres is just perfect. think I need to revisit my order, sigh... it never ends!

Marcia, happy Monday! Such a cool spinner with your Boho Rounds and soft colors. Love the splatters and sequins creating additional movement. Thanks for your sweet comments (and notifying me of my win)! Years ago at a SU demonstrator's class I made a spinner but forgot all about them. It certainly puts a different twist on cards. Have an awesome week!

This is fantastic. I love how you used that new set and water colored. I never thought to use something so abstract for this technique, and I love how yours turned out.
