Merry Monday #276 - Inspiration Photo

Hey Merry Monday fans...welcome back to another challenge, where this week our hostess is Colleen and she has a wonderful inspiration photo to challenge you!

Isn't that such a beautiful inspiration photo?!!  I was inspired by the window, the candles, and the birds, and came up with this:

I started by making my background using a torn piece of cs and Smoky Slate ink to resemble snow banks, and then used an MFT cloud stencil to make the clouds on the top half.  Next I placed a stacked window die (a friend gave them to me years ago and I don't remember the manufacturer...maybe Memory Box or Poppystamps??) and then some greenery using PTI's Beautiful Berries: Winter with Tropical Teal, Autumn Rose, and Scarlett Jewel inks.  I used an Impression Obsession die for the candle and I wish you could see the snippet of paper I used for the holder and flame...I used Lindy's Magicals in Cattail Copper Brown, and the camera just doesn't do it justice!!  These powders work like Brusho's but they dry like Perfect Pearls on steroids...the shimmer and shine is just MAGICAL!!

I also added a bird from PTI's Brushed Birds set and embossed my sentiment from PTI's Beautiful Berries: Winter with copper embossing powder.

What will you come up with using the inspiration photo??  There's lots of BEAUTIFUL inspiration from the DT, so come play along with us and get a head start on those Christmas cards.  You can find all the details to play along right HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

Gorgeous card Marcia!! I love the pastel colours you're using for this card. The snowbanks and sky are so soft and beautiful. The bird and berries are pretty in pink and I love that candle with the copper flame and holder. xx
