Papertrey Ink's 11th Anniversary - Day 1

Hello friends.  Papertrey Ink is celebrating 11 years and the challenge for Day 1 is to use a sketch by one of the designers.

I chose Dawn's sketch and card as my inspiration since I was using a couple of her stamp sets.  Here's her card:

I changed up my colors so as not to completely copy Dawn, and came up with this birthday card:

I used both Gran's Garden and Farmer's Market Florals with Pure Poppy, Scarlett Jewel, & Pale Peony inks to stamp my florals and blend my background using a stencil I made with the Quatrefoil Cover Plate.

Guess I've got Valentine's Day on the brain with these colors, huh?!!  With the crisp white of the card base though, I really like the way these colors pop!

And speaking of Valentine's Day, had to show you a picture of the nugget cake my dear friend Julie made:

Is that not the cutest thing ever?!  What a LOT of work!!  And she made 7 of them!!  I'm so glad I was one of the recipients...thank you, thank you Julie!!  :0)

If you'd like to join in the celebrations over at Papertrey Ink, click HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!
