My <b>Postage Collage Die </b>(WF) had been sitting out, so I decided to cut the stenciled panel with it, and then again using Shaded Spruce cs (SU!). I fussy cut the stenciled and die cut panel following the stitched lines so it would fit onto the Shaded Spruce die cut piece, and then adhered to a white piece of cs and then a Shaded Spruce card base. I used a few sentiments from WF's <b>Triangle Tree </b>and also <b>Postage Collage </b>stamp sets. A few red gems finished off this 2nd card.</div><div><br /></div><div>Lots of wonderful inspiration from the DT that you can check out right <a href="https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot.com/2024/03/peace-on-earth-challenge-59.html">HERE</a> and then play along if like me you want to stay ahead with your Christmas card stash. I'm playing along with the <a href="https://daranddiane.blogspot.com/2024/03/first-signs-of-spring-challenge.html">Double D Challenge</a> where they are looking for cards depicting the first signs of Spring.<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYLclB3Cu3vkzrNgpVzcsMn83kyPlj3nYKTi2GmZFEpjwl8cpXUL7sl7t9okAYqf3pZLiE2IaQ7LQaXX7FWUH1IZCKmFToiYzg8VRfdR59R04NZYvAL4HgNfFTEa0UbnvPWePAci9qUBEPtP33hr09wccRXxBUxpC8tjSHTG6EoI-H3hotvVa2zLGLec0/s400/Double%20D%20-%20First%20Signs%20of%20Spring.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="267" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYLclB3Cu3vkzrNgpVzcsMn83kyPlj3nYKTi2GmZFEpjwl8cpXUL7sl7t9okAYqf3pZLiE2IaQ7LQaXX7FWUH1IZCKmFToiYzg8VRfdR59R04NZYvAL4HgNfFTEa0UbnvPWePAci9qUBEPtP33hr09wccRXxBUxpC8tjSHTG6EoI-H3hotvVa2zLGLec0/s320/Double%20D%20-%20First%20Signs%20of%20Spring.jpg" width="214" /></a></div><br /><div>Isn't that just the prettiest mood board?! Oh how I am longing for color outside! I shouldn't be complaining though as we have had a pretty mild Winter here in Michigan, but it's the up and down of having a few nice and mild sun shiny days and then cold & wet! But anyway, one of the first signs of Spring in my yard is the Snowdrops, and as pretty as they are, my favorite is my big Lilac bush with all the wonderful fragrance and the beautiful purple blooms! The Greetery just had a new release and put out a new die set called <b>BotaniCuts: Lilacs </b>and it practically jumped right into my cart...HAD TO HAVE IT!! Here's what I came up with for my card...</div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1Sbh3SgvpRXn0FNrVxzB5Zmhnn9Zi51TyOduFIIZ44sr6oyRDErJ5fwFs1upr6dYHANpNUxGpL2Al3Cw3VTLgSdBgB9o2IrCLbJ5vTbHLRseqFiYsI8QoMaS2o8dEnUrU8tFH1xu9TAoPAJqAWrnGu3YTzQ6EPna4ivjbxLkz_aExRt2jMLT5A14TVvM/s1125/Double%20D%20-%20First%20Signs%20of%20Spring%20-%201.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="844" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1Sbh3SgvpRXn0FNrVxzB5Zmhnn9Zi51TyOduFIIZ44sr6oyRDErJ5fwFs1upr6dYHANpNUxGpL2Al3Cw3VTLgSdBgB9o2IrCLbJ5vTbHLRseqFiYsI8QoMaS2o8dEnUrU8tFH1xu9TAoPAJqAWrnGu3YTzQ6EPna4ivjbxLkz_aExRt2jMLT5A14TVvM/w480-h640/Double%20D%20-%20First%20Signs%20of%20Spring%20-%201.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /> I started with a softly stenciled plaid (The Greetery) in light gray for my background and then added my focal point...the Lilacs. My memory may not be much these days, but I sure do remember making wishes and blowing on the dandelions! I colored this sweet little girl up with my Copics, and although you can't see, I used quite a bit of WOS on the dandelions, the ruffled layer of her skirt and her wings. I used Spellbinders <b>Hemstitched Rectangle Dies </b>to cut and frame out this image and then added a piece of DSP from LOTV called <b>Promises </b>(from the NitWit Collection by Mary Fran. Copyright from 2012, so I've had this DSP for awhile!). </div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtP5ARYLXqPC6X8MjGjbSbrlpvsyL89zNKXgGPpRCVkOdRszNU_EnNGfVEGwJ8krjvlFG_zsBvOK1M2YdZj4-FazJIXnkBecGkyLKIAJkDJAOlOUDlJKBSaYFH2puEUdoU0JKVJJ3axdAAQbN00UVKo3FLNZR5iqHFr4s4VH0zeQ64ia3zMCRTNCwazbY/s1125/Double%20D%20-%20DSP%20-%202.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="926" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtP5ARYLXqPC6X8MjGjbSbrlpvsyL89zNKXgGPpRCVkOdRszNU_EnNGfVEGwJ8krjvlFG_zsBvOK1M2YdZj4-FazJIXnkBecGkyLKIAJkDJAOlOUDlJKBSaYFH2puEUdoU0JKVJJ3axdAAQbN00UVKo3FLNZR5iqHFr4s4VH0zeQ64ia3zMCRTNCwazbY/w526-h640/Double%20D%20-%20DSP%20-%202.jpg" width="526" /></a></div><br /> I added both panels to a top folding Pool Party (SU!) card base and then stamped my sentiment from SSS's <b>Tiny Words. </b> I finished with a sheer Pool Party ribbon (SU!) and a few PFS light turquoise gems.</div><div><br /></div><div>I actually have a twofer for you today with another LOTV image that my 9 year old granddaughter Addy colored up this past weekend. She LOVES to play in my craft room when she comes over and has been asking for years to play with my Copic markers, and I've always told her she has to be a bit older before she can use them. Figured it was high time I get back into making some Christmas cards and the <a href="https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot.com/2024/02/peace-on-earth-challenge-58.html">Peace On Earth Challenge</a> has the most awesome mood board with all kinds of PLAIDS!<div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh64HwlfYY2KKzZp6kj0OyN9vtRfmzwgvM0Ae7RAGaOeeyTetqhTLmm7vsrLIpB3dv-mbAHjPmKzjPWTcHNN7ijhRYjcrc4vXeqLsKx3CXqEDf7z2yigA6yL51tRtuaLR0JrDf9HVEO0P43kaxrN8KfY_aFPDcmAmLmNlNrp-MWuB6STTro9ZsyFmoxjEc/s639/Peace%20On%20Earth%20%2358%20-%20PHOTO.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="639" data-original-width="512" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh64HwlfYY2KKzZp6kj0OyN9vtRfmzwgvM0Ae7RAGaOeeyTetqhTLmm7vsrLIpB3dv-mbAHjPmKzjPWTcHNN7ijhRYjcrc4vXeqLsKx3CXqEDf7z2yigA6yL51tRtuaLR0JrDf9HVEO0P43kaxrN8KfY_aFPDcmAmLmNlNrp-MWuB6STTro9ZsyFmoxjEc/s320/Peace%20On%20Earth%20%2358%20-%20PHOTO.jpg" width="256" /></a></div><div><br /></div>How do you say no to a mood board like that?! I certainly couldn't!! One of my DT mates used a LOTV stamp (Lily of the Valley) and reminded me that I have quite a collection of them and haven't used a single one in probably 2 years! Michigan Winter weather played nice with us this Valentine's Day and my sweet friend <b>Michele </b>was able to come over and spend the day playing. We did our usual hugging, laughing, talking and eating, all without consuming any calories! Well, kinda... We had veggies, fresh fruit, and for dessert, more fruit! And veggies and fruit don't have any calories, RIGHT??!! Of course the veggies were on a crust with cream cheese and ranch dressing and the fruit dessert was on a pie crust with a crumbled topping, so maybe a few calories. I have loved her style since she very first started with Papertrey Ink and still love it, even though most of my cards these days are of the CAS style. Sometimes it just feels good to add on all the layers, and this one certainly has a few! I started by stamping my verse and then heat embossing it in clear before using a SB <b>Notched Corner Frame Die </b>to cut it out. I sponged the edges with a bit of Harvest Gold ink (PTI) and then went to work on the 2nd layer that I stenciled with WF's <b>Rose Background Stencil </b>using the same Harvest Gold ink for the flowers and a couple shades of green for the leaves. This layer was also die cut with the SB <b>Notched Corner Frame Dies</b>.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZlzDEenMexeZSAiC5TcXYAv3lJ1jd_ZP465dX_395SEn8gZxRVYBr6Uthe02vGpqOZt9TW8KZmpOY6-PUy_OOTWUJgX2SzObY8tp32AHRNAhZNNkIHdJ7EPFAGIKbmTrVus6cSrVzk-2gMdvbcEHi6PbnpLAGOeSwcUY7mS1xrlb4g6AXHSWL5rAEdv4/s1125/Triple%20B%20Feb.%202024%20-%202.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="844" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZlzDEenMexeZSAiC5TcXYAv3lJ1jd_ZP465dX_395SEn8gZxRVYBr6Uthe02vGpqOZt9TW8KZmpOY6-PUy_OOTWUJgX2SzObY8tp32AHRNAhZNNkIHdJ7EPFAGIKbmTrVus6cSrVzk-2gMdvbcEHi6PbnpLAGOeSwcUY7mS1xrlb4g6AXHSWL5rAEdv4/w480-h640/Triple%20B%20Feb.%202024%20-%202.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div>I added both my stamped and stenciled layers to a piece of PTI's Bitty Big DSP in Harvest Gold and used the <b>Crimped Rectangle Die </b>from The Greetery to add the decorative edge to this layer. Definitely a few more layers and work than I usually put into a card these days, but I love the way it turned out and will definitely work for when I need to send out encouragement to someone in need!</div><div><br /></div><div>Make sure you check out this new challenge if you haven't already and then play along...you can find all the details right <a href="https://wordpowerchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/word-power-2.html">HERE</a>. In the past I've always used glitter cs from Michael's or Hobby Lobby, and they always have a kind of plastic backing on them that makes it really hard to die cut with them, but this new glitter cs from PFS cuts like a dream and the colors are so pretty! <b> </b><div><b><br /></b></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0TnwBnkcvX5VflrVaf6P3CJ3G0vnJGjSBBWbLEZybAfxHW3orIUP2RDy79zq28bnzcNkNzxaZGyQRA7a_EQ_5Y90T-V0lCV0CpAg8aycMBD71PXGDWwQKa2TyQy95PbkEiIG6U4D3erbB5EHUgpuj8WlDi1ANkjXegeYIaC1mFStowP4ot8nsSmD-Nzs/s1500/Color%20Hues%20%2380%20-%202.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="1500" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0TnwBnkcvX5VflrVaf6P3CJ3G0vnJGjSBBWbLEZybAfxHW3orIUP2RDy79zq28bnzcNkNzxaZGyQRA7a_EQ_5Y90T-V0lCV0CpAg8aycMBD71PXGDWwQKa2TyQy95PbkEiIG6U4D3erbB5EHUgpuj8WlDi1ANkjXegeYIaC1mFStowP4ot8nsSmD-Nzs/w640-h480/Color%20Hues%20%2380%20-%202.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><b><br /></b><div>I lightly colored with Copics the little bunnies from Anita Jeram's (CCC) <b>Snuggle Bunny </b>stamp set, and then fussy cut them out and added them behind the die cut heart strips. It's time for another <a href="https://colorhuesthecolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/color-hues-79-copper-and-green.html">Color Hues Challenge</a> and this time our sweet hostess is <b>Karen </b>and she would like to see <span style="color: #e69138;">COPPER </span>and <span style="color: #6aa84f;">GREEN </span>on our cards.<div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgXJdgXf7pbLRkZKTq9FeSeLeNqu97QquPbJFV_8XNnAEbAyVZ2EFbriSaXvT6I83Jke950dileMG2tO34v4Y8A9XuDq6jEm2OetBpf8-nzQKBXhEJyWiKBjlm_aol-rIW9Ce-MbJ9jdoAdcPYxCPNtdhnW_nPMPZHuo6lfpSRGNH-l6EBXAGIaVx9V9BE" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="326" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgXJdgXf7pbLRkZKTq9FeSeLeNqu97QquPbJFV_8XNnAEbAyVZ2EFbriSaXvT6I83Jke950dileMG2tO34v4Y8A9XuDq6jEm2OetBpf8-nzQKBXhEJyWiKBjlm_aol-rIW9Ce-MbJ9jdoAdcPYxCPNtdhnW_nPMPZHuo6lfpSRGNH-l6EBXAGIaVx9V9BE" width="196" /></a></div><br />I admit I was a little stumped on this one at first. I love the color Copper, but I thought the only thing I had in my stash in that color was really, REALLY OLD Copper embossing powder and it did NOT work any longer! Then the light bulb went on and I remembered that when I received my Glimmer Hot Foil machine, it came with a roll of Copper foil...YAY!! </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYDFXP1G0bOT8-dE7i092E5PbyTnSrZQeOph4FdPMDNku8YFX8dqzZcVK-dfMPlsVuL0ImAE756SQ9oT9rDJYh35VB9fSHbg_hWqwkt_8J0EowqZ5r28NwzsmCaCsnGAzCUv-aWxaZo5TN5kxfIWMvWluvFIwFKhYxSmo6f5LETLm6vQk0GiXBVUw9IEs/s1125/Color%20Hues%20%2379%20-%201.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="844" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYDFXP1G0bOT8-dE7i092E5PbyTnSrZQeOph4FdPMDNku8YFX8dqzZcVK-dfMPlsVuL0ImAE756SQ9oT9rDJYh35VB9fSHbg_hWqwkt_8J0EowqZ5r28NwzsmCaCsnGAzCUv-aWxaZo5TN5kxfIWMvWluvFIwFKhYxSmo6f5LETLm6vQk0GiXBVUw9IEs/w480-h640/Color%20Hues%20%2379%20-%201.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div>I can't tell you how many times I've photographed this card trying to get the colors to show up decently, but there just isn't much light in Michigan during the Winter months...grrrrrrrrrr! But anyway, trust me that the outlines of the leaves are copper foiled and so pretty in real life! I Copic colored the leaves in YG61 & YG67, and then die cut them out. (This is a PFS set called <b>Delicate Foliage</b>)</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpkJVF9dymZOLGbdqF_x_z0LM5nk6_gqbPbhxDS_Ts6EyzoyUZmu7ruG-mkVwgoO_Y8kTvf1DVPz0Svqk6CCT59BBaWVv_9JatkP_ZOrbCMHbHQ6NbqayPWAXx8a2ieSU6mXzMESgDA40-mbdT0LLQz2wu664EA-KBQF5TikQ6uvRtVkGy1xGG_4QSnsQ/s1125/Color%20Hues%20%2379%20-%202.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="844" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpkJVF9dymZOLGbdqF_x_z0LM5nk6_gqbPbhxDS_Ts6EyzoyUZmu7ruG-mkVwgoO_Y8kTvf1DVPz0Svqk6CCT59BBaWVv_9JatkP_ZOrbCMHbHQ6NbqayPWAXx8a2ieSU6mXzMESgDA40-mbdT0LLQz2wu664EA-KBQF5TikQ6uvRtVkGy1xGG_4QSnsQ/w480-h640/Color%20Hues%20%2379%20-%202.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div>This close up shows the copper foiling a bit better, and also my embossed background (Spellbinders) and sentiment strip that I also foiled in the copper (also Spellbinders). There's lots of awesome inspiration from our DT and our Special GD <b>Greta</b> that you can check out right <a href="https://colorhuesthecolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2024/01/color-hues-79-copper-and-green.html">HERE</a>. I started this card by stenciling the <b>Wild Blooms </b>in a light and medium blue and gray for the stems and leaves. I'm the hostess this month for the <a href="https://colorhuesthecolorchallenge.blogspot.com/">Color Hues Challenge</a> and here in Michigan where I live, January can be a very chilly month, so I thought we'd start out with the cool tones of <span style="color: #9fc5e8;">LIGHT BLUE </span>& <span style="color: #073763;">NAVY BLUE</span>. I may be eating my words this year though as so far it's been pretty mild and hardly any snow...but trust me, I'm NOT complaining!! I much prefer paper snowflakes and Winter scenes from inside my nice warm house!! Haha! Anyway, let's get started, shall we?!<div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGColuw2BYZAiLstpI9J8x3qb9g6r5-chgazUzsQBTPKjTFOQzAg7ao74gibevsaHzHDa4Wsb21I281HORXB-uKLXTUhihMSLIhzO-VAXqH3haKxVjfLshq-qjyOwkhSmJ485222RDl7oVqGM283Q8L7p8Gta7pyFXMqwjpsNINy1NFdNl_0yRE2UNV0s/s1080/CH%20%2378%20Light%20Blue%20and%20Navy.001.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="880" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGColuw2BYZAiLstpI9J8x3qb9g6r5-chgazUzsQBTPKjTFOQzAg7ao74gibevsaHzHDa4Wsb21I281HORXB-uKLXTUhihMSLIhzO-VAXqH3haKxVjfLshq-qjyOwkhSmJ485222RDl7oVqGM283Q8L7p8Gta7pyFXMqwjpsNINy1NFdNl_0yRE2UNV0s/w326-h400/CH%20%2378%20Light%20Blue%20and%20Navy.001.jpeg" width="326" /></a></div><br />Here's what I came up with using these 2 shades of blue...</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3EiHMwv0GjSb1c7d5mve1vj6lCPTPmtxRy4ThXUAAYAoD74RoFFCbFWx8rovZJKC7b0DJI7zZvAJ0e6S9raDLODLgTJjqa2Vl5vsQSMh0V0G_Ubjtj8RECHtSBaeno8Qngh9SCp1Ye9uX7z-aI71h-tpQe8F3WDHOLC8M7x0qrrHWCJk9B-PHq6SK7II/s1125/Color%20Hues%20%2378%20-%201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="844" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3EiHMwv0GjSb1c7d5mve1vj6lCPTPmtxRy4ThXUAAYAoD74RoFFCbFWx8rovZJKC7b0DJI7zZvAJ0e6S9raDLODLgTJjqa2Vl5vsQSMh0V0G_Ubjtj8RECHtSBaeno8Qngh9SCp1Ye9uX7z-aI71h-tpQe8F3WDHOLC8M7x0qrrHWCJk9B-PHq6SK7II/w480-h640/Color%20Hues%20%2378%20-%201.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div>I've been having a blast with this new mitten die from SSS (<b>Winter Mitten</b>) and sweet little <b>Walter </b>from Tim Holtz, and having several January birthdays in our family made a birthday card the obvious choice for me! I'm still in Christmas mode and had a new Press Plate from Spellbinder's that fit the mood board beautifully for the current <a href="https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot.com/2023/12/peace-on-earth-christmas-challenge-54.html">Peace On Earth Challenge</a>.<div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQBZHTfJnK3boeIWRaM90i6Bv5Hah4-gTPvfoysKjh9uibdPqX2u0NOv6iufnBLKyA3ZL90LamUsNW-ISsoH07hCfZvmfIpTXUC7r1kIhPptpcQ2wEzB10nn3vOffvCwrt8WmAWWtX4lp2JMLT-fJ5NJurOnBq73NAZxzmJQAHXDuh4DzruopNI-fxty8/s640/Peace%20On%20Earth%20%2354%20-%20PHOTO.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="454" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQBZHTfJnK3boeIWRaM90i6Bv5Hah4-gTPvfoysKjh9uibdPqX2u0NOv6iufnBLKyA3ZL90LamUsNW-ISsoH07hCfZvmfIpTXUC7r1kIhPptpcQ2wEzB10nn3vOffvCwrt8WmAWWtX4lp2JMLT-fJ5NJurOnBq73NAZxzmJQAHXDuh4DzruopNI-fxty8/s320/Peace%20On%20Earth%20%2354%20-%20PHOTO.jpg" width="227" /></a></div><div><br /></div>And here's what I came up with...</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvOYYkX_-KYoz5LSOG9JIIbG27Z_83ISiXnc3b_Nr5_xm9y2P1ueHBLwM1E77js23x7if0P9NczzkeWWKiNJyULOoEjOIEcZ0zc9dysMJ50sMHuruzF_TgQeGZXcGPKnRqunWJFJHandfUvVZDWGQq0EphRs0GXcucTC_Yvz-mo6pKnbilR0dsgSHoVAY/s1388/Peace%20On%20Earth%20%2354%20-%201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="1388" height="518" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvOYYkX_-KYoz5LSOG9JIIbG27Z_83ISiXnc3b_Nr5_xm9y2P1ueHBLwM1E77js23x7if0P9NczzkeWWKiNJyULOoEjOIEcZ0zc9dysMJ50sMHuruzF_TgQeGZXcGPKnRqunWJFJHandfUvVZDWGQq0EphRs0GXcucTC_Yvz-mo6pKnbilR0dsgSHoVAY/w640-h518/Peace%20On%20Earth%20%2354%20-%201.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div>I started by masking off the bottom third of the cardstock and then started ink blending with pink, purple, and blue. If you've never ink blended on cotton cardstock, you really NEED to try it...it blends like soft butter! Next I used my Better Press and a new Press Plate (<b>Season's Greetings Evergreens </b>- Spellbinders) to create the tree line over the ink blending. I wish you could see this in person...the deep etching the Better Press does is SOOOOOO cool looking!</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy3_22oTAXOKCcoNfIwmLxXp5cBfrfxhZTrlNXeHANIcjX8Dn4qPuEntFrtPtWe56LrOQ_2G1h68C9sqOYC2N98lEA4dsL0k6s3ZfiPcnxzzqVTIjCH98RcQZbehyphenhyphenMsEEoyyu6P5sbYAzIjqipDS8MAYH4X3O_7aYeKUZWowZrysKXNKx7mUpJLeuqQbE/s1406/Peace%20On%20Earth%20%2354%20-%202.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="1406" height="512" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy3_22oTAXOKCcoNfIwmLxXp5cBfrfxhZTrlNXeHANIcjX8Dn4qPuEntFrtPtWe56LrOQ_2G1h68C9sqOYC2N98lEA4dsL0k6s3ZfiPcnxzzqVTIjCH98RcQZbehyphenhyphenMsEEoyyu6P5sbYAzIjqipDS8MAYH4X3O_7aYeKUZWowZrysKXNKx7mUpJLeuqQbE/w640-h512/Peace%20On%20Earth%20%2354%20-%202.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div>I added a black strip of cardstock to ground the top 2/3rds of the card and then finished with the pressed and die cut sentiment (comes with the set) and a few black gems (Gina K). Another easy peasy card and also another for next years Christmas stash. </div><div><br /></div><div>You can check out all the beautiful cards from the DT for inspiration right <a href="https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot.com/2023/12/peace-on-earth-christmas-challenge-54.html">HERE</a>. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas?! We celebrated a week ago as it was the only time all 3 girls could get together, and a good thing we did it early as almost everyone came down with colds this week! It was still a nice Christmas with just my 91 year old mom yesterday, and on Christmas Eve it was so warm out that we grilled hot dogs for dinner...pretty much unheard of in Michigan on Dec. 24th. Last year at this time we had a blizzard and 17" of snow! Go figure. But anyway, you came here for a card, and I'm still in the Christmas mood and had just received an order from Spellbinder's 50% off sale, so I created this sweet little Winter scene using the <b>Dancin' Penguin </b>dies. Take a look...<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL0tAm6YmKSwE0w3_f0cQlq2YMU3FTVfPyueIWxvFohEi1GWKyXjv6gPonw4CaMBk7ZXMD3eFJx7v4HePDzaujS2GwhEpFjan1A-FhQLTo_GnwFS14f2-hVctOvhJQjyJ8hx5XHra_-wjHstFiEVl0jAu1DBE3etg5hOWsfWX6c7i7aCsw27629Vmfqkw/s3364/Double%20D%20-%20Winter%20Snow%20Scene%20-%201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3364" data-original-width="2692" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL0tAm6YmKSwE0w3_f0cQlq2YMU3FTVfPyueIWxvFohEi1GWKyXjv6gPonw4CaMBk7ZXMD3eFJx7v4HePDzaujS2GwhEpFjan1A-FhQLTo_GnwFS14f2-hVctOvhJQjyJ8hx5XHra_-wjHstFiEVl0jAu1DBE3etg5hOWsfWX6c7i7aCsw27629Vmfqkw/w512-h640/Double%20D%20-%20Winter%20Snow%20Scene%20-%201.jpg" width="512" /></a></div><br /><div><br /><div>Isn't he a cutie?! And the best part is that his skating feet swing back and forth so it really looks like he's skating! I stamped the little piece of ice from MFT's <b>Cool Day </b>stamp set, and then ink blended the background and then did a bit of splattering with white acrylic paint. I stamped the trees from Gina K's <b>Christmas Greenery </b>set and then embossed the panel with SSS's <b>Icy Snowflakes </b>ef. LOVE the way this background turned out! Next I assembled the die cut pieces of the penguin and used thicker foam circles behind him for dimension and to give room for the skates to swing back and forth. Pretty easy card and a great start for my 2024 Christmas card stash!</div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7XrOxA7lYyADXEATtXZS-xRn9lsqmHssz4N7Eau7vnJRHyis50MM0_N7lbGXYqX-KyIXTkcxW6Mr1v2_3SRPFoLo-qxswdVC0So2eX8DdQ0I4mQiocYhk85UgrDiEeQ2l_V-YYmJ-6jqV2QsRlL1o4TEbDJwRpXj1ab_U46mLY0-RvIWVE7HNEtJwNGo/s640/Double%20D%20-%20Winter%20Snow%20Scene%20Photo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="456" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7XrOxA7lYyADXEATtXZS-xRn9lsqmHssz4N7Eau7vnJRHyis50MM0_N7lbGXYqX-KyIXTkcxW6Mr1v2_3SRPFoLo-qxswdVC0So2eX8DdQ0I4mQiocYhk85UgrDiEeQ2l_V-YYmJ-6jqV2QsRlL1o4TEbDJwRpXj1ab_U46mLY0-RvIWVE7HNEtJwNGo/w285-h400/Double%20D%20-%20Winter%20Snow%20Scene%20Photo.jpg" width="285" /></a></div><br /> </div><div> Lots of beautiful inspiration from this wonderful mood board and from all the DT too, so check it all out right <a href="https://daranddiane.blogspot.com/2023/12/winter-snow-scene.html">HERE</a> and then play along to get a head start on next years cards. But anyway, we had a FABULOUS time together at Michele's house with all the usual card making, laughing, talking, and of course eating! (Michele treated me to her awesome egg drop soup and egg rolls...yummmmmmm!!)<div><br /></div><div>I have 6 cards to share with you today, the first two stenciled beauties from PFS's <b>Lush Peonies Stamp, Stencil, & Die </b>set.</div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvQ8BC-WRamQGcg-MD-X5BR1P3xZWhhBT0GmAx29pZmYXr_mTV1zenYPYAGYxw_ZCOj16hlW386ykF7rgE_fPPew8BV6bhhS6zp2hPe4vzjvX7_P6O3XMlZNhyphenhypheniGQzdQVf7vqOzVu9oRDNfxp5DN1Nya8_ygjgUXKl-7pzpLoe6wlpvzNTcSzvFaWy-ns/s1125/Christmas%20with%20Michele%20-%201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="844" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvQ8BC-WRamQGcg-MD-X5BR1P3xZWhhBT0GmAx29pZmYXr_mTV1zenYPYAGYxw_ZCOj16hlW386ykF7rgE_fPPew8BV6bhhS6zp2hPe4vzjvX7_P6O3XMlZNhyphenhypheniGQzdQVf7vqOzVu9oRDNfxp5DN1Nya8_ygjgUXKl-7pzpLoe6wlpvzNTcSzvFaWy-ns/w480-h640/Christmas%20with%20Michele%20-%201.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>Stenciled with yellow shades and then die cut and added to a die cut background using ASD's <b>Tiny Crosses Coverplate Die </b>with foam tape for dimension. My background is a coverplate die from The Greetery that I swiped a gray ink cube up and down across my white cardstock panel first, and then used the die. I love the wood textured look it gives and makes this card a bit rustic. I added a <b>Ornate Banner </b>die cut from PFS before layering my <b>Magnolia Wreath </b>die cuts (The Greetery) that I splattered with white & black acrylic paint. I used gray and silver metallic cardstock for the <b>Rustic Star </b>die cut (also from The Greetery) that I hung like an ornament over the center of the wreath, and then finished with some silver metallic pearls and a pre-printed sentiment strip from SSS. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioG8ayCjNjx7-FxQXqNqi5jIG5KhEdtbwqQfjq4kC8Gcum6c19Nm4DDZavLfUgLscPTZM0b6v1Fnwjco3vNlqwcdPa4mban7zXMprViUGmtqF7w0JN-Vmz5SedNWcAA28R16-6GNFrVQardnm9xohtEi7YnrZj77ADWtge9BTc6EwsN306Iz6jmD28Yrg/s1125/Christmas%20with%20Michele%20-%206.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="844" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioG8ayCjNjx7-FxQXqNqi5jIG5KhEdtbwqQfjq4kC8Gcum6c19Nm4DDZavLfUgLscPTZM0b6v1Fnwjco3vNlqwcdPa4mban7zXMprViUGmtqF7w0JN-Vmz5SedNWcAA28R16-6GNFrVQardnm9xohtEi7YnrZj77ADWtge9BTc6EwsN306Iz6jmD28Yrg/w480-h640/Christmas%20with%20Michele%20-%206.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div>The photo of this last card does not do it justice...in real life this card sparkles like crazy! I started with residual ink leftover on my ink blending brushes in turquoise and purple using a new stencil from The Greetery called <b>Snowflake Prints</b>. Keeping the stencil in place I used Gina K's <b>Glitz Glitter Gel </b>and once it dries, it really sparkles and shines! I cut off a little bit at an angle on the bottom and added a strip of turquoise cs to differentiate from the card base. Next I die cut the word JOY using TSM's <b>Festive Foliage Dies</b> and then stamped "to the world" beneath. Pretty simple card really that sure does pack a punch in real life!</div><div><br /></div><div>So there you have what I started at Michele's and then finished up at home last week. I'd definitely say we were both pretty darn productive considering all the talking, laughing, and eating we did too! Make sure you check out Michele's post right <a href="https://icardeveryone.blogspot.com/2023/12/a-christmas-playtime-with-marcia.html">HERE</a> to see what she did using some of these same products...you won't be disappointed! (I can hardly wait to see what she did with Twig & Stump!!) Thanks for another wonderful play day and year of friendship Michele...you truly are the best!!</div><div> <br />
