Good morning friends. Earlier in the week I shared a quick and simple "Fall" card, and mentioned I had made a 2nd similar card. I used the same stamp set ("Fall Foliage" by Gina K), and same layout, but a different leaf and different sentiment. Take a look:
I sponged my background square with a little bit of Crumb Cake and Really Rust inks, and then stamped the leaf image in VersaMark and embossed it with copper embossing powder. (it's easier to see the copper sparkle if you enlarge the picture) When I very first started stamping, it was a big thing to tear the edges of your card stock, and since I wanted to add another element to this simple card, and mostly because I "smudged" the edge while sponging the square and wanted to get rid of it, I tore the edge and then added a strip of copper paper behind it. (hope that makes sense?!!) The sentiment came from PTI's "Mum's the Word" set and the seam binding ribbon from The Craft Spot. I finished by adding a copper leaf shaped brad to the center of the bow. Again, simple and quick and a pretty "Fall" card! :0)
If I get my act together, I hope to be back later today or sometime tomorrow with a card for the challenge over at Merry Monday's. Thanks for visiting with me today and have a fantastic Friday! :0)
Nice sentiment! It's fall here in CO today so hopefully you will get the crisp air in a few days!
