Good morning friends. Hope you all had a great weekend! I thought ours was going to be a nice quiet one, but our oldest and her husband stopped over to tell us that we're going to be grandparents...woooooohooooooo! I'm going to be a GRANDMA!!!!! :0) As Darnell would say, think of ALL the possibilities! New life...isn't it just the best gift God can give us?! And think of all the new stamping and knitting projects this will bring into my life...life is good! :0)
And now onto today's card. Told you awhile back that I had been into making Valentine cards, but think I've only shown you one of them, so it's time to break out a few of them as we are getting closer to that date! Take a look at this very simple one using the new love die from Papertrey Ink:
I simply cut out the word "love" 4 times starting with a light pink and graduating to a dark red on the bottom. I added a little diamond bling to the center of each heart, and then tied some red & white twine (The Twinery) just above the die cuts. I mounted this layer with foam dots onto the white card base. CAS and quite striking IMHO! :0)
Thanks so much for stopping by today and hope you all have a terrific Monday! :0)
Congratulations to all of you! I am so excited for the new little one!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Love the card, too!
ReplyDeleteOh you are going to love being a grandma. Nice of Darnell to feature you. Welcome!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! I wait for the day we will hear that kind of news. Our "kids" have both got twelve years of marriage under their belts. What ARE they waiting for. ---perfect card with all that LOVE going around.
ReplyDeleteBTW~I found you on Darnell's blog! :D she's great that way.
ReplyDeleteYippee!!! Congratulations Grandma!
ReplyDeleteMorning Marcia...or should that now be Grandma Marcia :o)) Congratulations!! I can feel your Joy from here xxxx
ReplyDeleteCalled over from Darnell's Blog :o)) Glad we were cased together as that way I found you.
Love the card, what a great idea to layer the word in shades.
Hugs Mau xx
First of all, Congratulations to you! I love being a GrandMom! Your card is so very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteSquee!! I'm SO excited for you, Marcia! I pray that all goes well for mommy and baby ~ and daddy, too, as he stresses and (hopefully) waits on her hand and foot! Modern couples prolly don't do that, do they? Such a shame if not!
ReplyDeleteYou think you can imagine how fun and wonderful it is going to be to a grandmother, but you can't. Truly, you can't, unless you magnify your expectations by a million!!
I ADORE your CASlicious Valentine - trendy in the ombre shading, too! Go you!! Huge hugs, Darnell
Congratulations Grandma to be :)
