Hello friends. Just a quick post this afternoon, but I like snowmen too much to just make one card for this weeks challenge, so here's another card:
This was one of my very first stamp sets from SU! ("We Woosh You") back in 1999, and in fact I made my first Christmas card with this set...definitely an oldie but a goodie! :0) After stamping the snowman, I did some masking so I could line up the pine trees behind him. I embossed the trees with white embossing powder, and then watercolored them with my Aqua Painter and Old Olive ink. I also watercolored the sky with Bashful Blue. The snowman I colored with my Copics. I glittered the bottom half of the card for my snow, and then finished with the layered and embossed sentiment over the snow. Also added a button for a little more whimsy. A fun card that brought back lots of happy memories! :0) Not a lot of time, but you can still join in the fun over at the Merry Monday site right here .
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!! :0)
I think I still have the original card you sent for Christmas that year somewhere in my card stash. I loved this stamp back in 1999 and I still love it today! Love the card and the sentiment is one of my favorites! So adorable!
ReplyDeleteAdorable design Marcia, love the sentiment.

I actually giggled when I saw the joyous look on that skiing snowman's face, that's the sign of a wonderful card in my book! Thanks for joining in this week at Merry Monday!
