Twig Wreath

Hello friends.  Have a couple cards to share with you today from PTI's new Twig Wreath stamp set.  I am totally in love with this new set, and have a feeling you will be seeing a lot of it from me!  I am still in the "Fall" mode too, and this stamp set lends itself beautifully to this season!  Here's the first one:

Just a small (3 1/2 x 5 1/2) and simple card, but I just love the beauty of the simple flowers and colors.  I started with a kraft cardstock base, and then stamped the wreath and flowers on a piece of cream colored cardstock, and then adding a couple strips of gingham DSP to the top and bottom of the card.  I just love all the little twiggy branches that come with this set to add around the flowers...fun, fun!  The sentiment is one that comes with the set, and finished off the card with some twine and a small button.

Here's my 2nd card using the same set:

This card I started with smooshing my watercolored background with Scattered Straw Distress Ink.  Then I stamped the wreath and little twiggy branches, before adding the flowers and leaves that I fussy cut out.  I attached this layer to another kraft cardstock base, and then also added a small strip of green leaf DSP that I stamped my sentiment on (Keep It Simple: Thinking of You).  I finished with a few gold sequins and a piece of natural colored bakers twine.

I'm sure you'll be seeing more of this set from me, so you can't say you haven't been warned!!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!! :0)
