Hello friends. Time for another challenge over at Merry Monday, and this week it is to make a one layer card. This worked out great as it gave me a chance to play with a new Penny Black stamp called Berry Bevy. Take a look:
I used Tumbled Glass and Salty Oceans Distress Inks and a sponging tool to create my background first (and a piece of torn cardstock), and then stamped my image and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used a small dot stamp and white ink to stamp over the berries first, and then colored over the white with an R29 and R39 Copic marker (the reds show up brighter over the white than if I had just tried to color over the sponged background). I also added Dazzling Diamonds (SU!) along the branches to add a little sparkle to my card.
You can see the glitter a little bit better in this close up. My sentiment is from Cas-ual Fridays Snowy Sayings. A simple card, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out! :0)
Gorgeous bit of inking, fabulous card.
