Merry Monday #190 - Santa

Hello friends.  The challenge this week at Merry Monday is to use a Santa on your card.  If you've followed me for any length of time, you know my favorite Santa image is the retired stamp from Flourishes called Santa I Believe.  In fact I think I've used this same stamp the last two years at Merry Monday, but I can't seem to help myself...I love it that much!!  So I've done a vintage and traditional card with it, but what could I do this year that was different?  How about a more whimsical colored Santa?  I played around with Pool Party and Soft Sky inks, and came up with these 3 cards:

I'll apologize again for the photo quality, but there just isn't a lot of sunshine in Michigan during the winter months!  So anyway, just imagine all 3 of these cards a little brighter!!  The first and third cards use Pool Party ink and the middle one I used Soft Sky on.  The first one I used some Penny Black DSP for the background, the die cut is a Tim Holtz Holiday Words: Script, and the snowflake die cut is from Cas-ual Fridays.  The 2nd card uses SU!'s Northern Flurry embossing folder, and both the 2nd and 3rd card use the same "believe" die cut as the 1st card.

Which one do you like best?  I think my favorite is the one on the right with the DSP background, but the CAS one in the middle runs a close 2nd for me!  Let me know what you think!

I'm already getting a little stash of Christmas cards from just playing along with Merry Monday's since the beginning of January...get started now and avoid the hassle in December!  You'll be SO glad you did!!  You can play along every week right HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do!  :0)

  7. I can't pick a favorite, they are all so beautiful, Marcia! I love that big ol' Santa face, too!

Speaking of beautiful, did you get a blog facelift or have I just been such a bad bloggie friend that I forgot what it looked like?! Either way, I love it!

I couldn't bring myself to make Christmas cards in January, but now I need to get over myself and get going or I'll be in a world of hurt again like I was last November! Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement!! Hugs, Darnell
