Hello friends. Playing along with Amy and her Make It Monday challenge, where she shows us how to add string art to our cards. Here's what I came up with:
I used a Tag Sale #3 die to do my stitching on, and then stamped and embossed my tag and card base with the Doodlie-Do set. I used a couple Copics to color in the embossed doodles on the tag, and then Aqua Mist, Raspberry Fizz, & Lovely Lady inks for the rest of the doodles and dots (Polka Dot Basics). I added a seam binding ribbon dyed with Aqua Mist re-inker, bakers twine, and a button to the top of the tag and a few PPP sequins to the whole card. The sentiment is from the Winter Woods set. Pretty sweet and simple, and I love the little touch of string art! Fun, fun challenge this week...thanks Amy!!
You can play along and learn how to add string art to your cards by watching Amy's video and checking out her beautiful cards all right HERE.
And one little extra for you today! Figured since it was using a PTI product, I could get away with adding it to this post, and also since Amy was the one that sold me on this project in the first place! I've been making some prayer boxes using the Tiny Town: Church dies, and my dear friend Birgit was bummed when I forgot to take pictures of the first one I made for a bible study friend awhile ago, so I made sure to take a picture of this one just for you Birgit! :0)
You can click on the photo to bring some of the detail in closer, like the scoring that makes the church look like it's made from wood planks, the gold embossed steeple, and the colorful little flowers. I should have taken the little blank cards to write your prayer requests on out of the box so you could see them too, but forgot...sorry! I just stamped a little cluster of green leaves and then the colored flowers from the Choose Joy stamp set (same as what's on the top of the tag). The flowers and grass on the outside of the church are from the Garden Variety set. These are so much fun to make...a little time consuming, but definitely worth the effort! This one is going to another friend at bible study who wants to gift it to another friend of hers.
Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do! :0)
