Merry Monday #218 - Use Plaid on Your Christmas Card

Hello friends.  Nina is our hostess this week at Merry Monday and she would like us to use plaid on our Christmas cards.

I had a scrap of plaid DSP from Hobby Lobby that I've had for years (I think...maybe longer??) and thought it would make a perfect backdrop for one of my new favorite sets from PTI called Holiday Greens

I love the black with the red, green and white in this plaid pattern, and thought it worked perfectly for my card!  I used a tag die cut from Casual Fridays and my sentiment from Catherine Pooler's latest SOA box set, and then added the die cut and stamped greenery from the PTI Holiday Greens set.  I did a little bit of blending with the berries, holly leaves, and the "Joyful" with my inks and really like the added definition it gives those elements.  A few iridescent sequins finished off my card.

Only 10 more weeks till Christmas my friends, so keep checking back with us at Merry Monday's each week and we'll help you get those cards done in time with lots of great inspiration!  You can check out all our inspiration using PLAID this week right HERE and then play along!

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do!

  4. You have a gift for assembly of those Christmas greens! So pretty around the die sentiment. But it's the plaid that gets me! Gorgeous, and so rich. Love your coloring too. Need to go through my Christmas stash for plaids!
