For my first try I used Pacific Point and Certainly Celery re-inkers (NOT alcohol inks!), and after adding all kinds of drops of both colors, I spritzed the bubble wrap before laying my cardstock down. For my 2nd try I used Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, & Melon Mambo re-inkers. I only made one card today, but I'm hanging on to all these pieces to use as backgrounds in other projects...each one is SO cool!
I kept my card simple as the background is pretty busy and just added a butterfly die cut (NBUS - Gina Marie Designs) out of Melon Mambo cs and my NBUS sentiment from PTI's Inspired: God stamp and die set. My "God" was die cut and stacked 4 times for dimension and although you can't see it, I spritzed the whole background with Sheer Sparkle & Shimmer Spritz...IRL it really sparkles! :0) Here's a closer up view:
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know that I
Be still and know that
Be still and know
Be still and
Be still
Be
Psalm 46:10
One of my all time favorite bible verses! There's still a few days left to play in NBUS #10 Challenge and you can find all the info and inspiration you need right HERE to play along! Seriously, a GREAT way to give those never before used stamps and dies some love, and let's face it...we ALL have them!! :0)
Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do!
Lots of fun with those bubble dots!
ReplyDeleteYour backgrounds are awesome Marcia!! Love the card! xx
ReplyDeleteYour panels turned out great, Marcia, and I love how you turned it into a card. I had fun doing this too although I had to use Brushos because I have no reinkers or alcohol inks. It worked.
ReplyDeleteOMG how the heck did you get such perfect little dots with your colors? I have to go back and try this again...I did four sheets and they all kind of looked smooshed...what did I do wrong? I LOVE yours!!
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow! Fabulous bubble wrap panels and a gorgeous card! Beautiful work, Marcia!
ReplyDeletePopped over from NBUS as your beautiful card caught my eye with the colors you chose and the lovely sentiment. Plus, the butterfly is just sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen or heard of this technique, but what a fabulous impact. Like beautiful patterned paper and different every time.
ReplyDeleteI love the way your background came out and good to know that you don't need to use alcohol based reinkers. Thanks for inspiring me today.

Oh my, this is so cool Marcia! I love how those bubble wrap dots look. Great colors too! Fabulous card my friend!!
ReplyDeleteYour bubble wrap results are really phenomenal, Marcia! Great tip to give the ink a quick refreshing spritz just before applying to the paper! I think the colors you achieved are every bit as bold as the alcoholic inks. And your card design shown here is absolute perfection for the bubbles!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #10!! Hugs, Darnell
