This was definitely a FUN challenge and I've been having a good time pulling on the slider piece to reveal the colored image...guess I'm just a kid at heart!! I decided to use the Summer Hills stamp set for my card as the main image in the set is an outline stamp and is also small enough to fit in the 2 1/2 wide width of the frame piece.
Here it is all closed up and layered against a Harvest Gold piece of DSP. And because I'm still in love with that tiny little banner die from the Stemmed Statements set, I had to add that to my card for the sentiment along with some black & white bakers twine. I love how everything is black & white except for the piece of DSP when the tab isn't pulled!
Still time to play along, so check out Lizzie's video and beautiful card right HERE and then join in the FUN!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do!
This is so, so sweet Marcia! I love how it looks all black and white too before pulling up the slider to reveal your amazing coloring. You picked a great image for this challenge. Your card is perfect!
ReplyDeleteMarcia, great minds think a like! Wasn't this stamp series just perfect to use for this challenge? I love yours - the colors are so refreshing and bright! What a cheery looking card.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I'm too intimated to try this technique right now. I have had a crazy, busy week and I'm running short on patience so I'm planning to sit this one out! But you've mastered the technique perfectly!
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable. I did give this a try but was not able to put something together. I think it is similar to shaker cards which I rarely do cause I just have a hard time putting them altogether. I guess I just like easy and CAS....
ReplyDeleteHow pretty!! I like this card with the scene compared to the flower. Great job on the colors. I think you might be right about sequins trapping the slider but some glitter pens would provide your bling!!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning Marcia! The perfect set for this technique!
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty, Marcia. Love your simple yellow Background with the dots together with the colorful panel. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI think we're ALL kids at heart with this one! So glad you chose this image. Still playing with technique, and love the Summer Hill set. Your sweet little banner is another favorite! All so summery against the yellow. Perfectly pretty snapshot of summer, Marcia.
ReplyDeleteGreat image! It looks wonderful in black & white and then all bright and sunny in colors! Such a fun technique!
