Hello friends. Welcome back to
Merry Monday, and our hostess Linda would like to challenge you with using DRY or HEAT EMBOSSING on your Christmas cards this week!
I used both DRY and HEAT embossing on my card and came up with this:
I started with a piece of water color cardstock (Tim Holtz) and dry embossed with a SU! ef called
Winter Wonder. Next I sprinkled on some Brusho's Cobalt Blue on the flat side of the embossing and then quite liberally sprayed with water to really get the colors moving. Once it was dry I trimmed it up and mounted it to a white card base, and then added a heat embossed sentiment (PTI's
Snowfall Style) on vellum with Ranger's Liquid Platinum embossing powder. Pretty simple but I love the dramatic look of the Brusho's over the dry embossed snowflake!
We hope you all will join us this week and really make it a priority to play along EVERY week so that your cards are all done by next Christmas! So get out all your DRY and HEAT EMBOSSING supplies and play along with us...you can find LOTS of wonderful inspiration from the DT to get you started right
HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!
