CAS Christmas March 2018 - HOLLY

Hello friends.  There's a NEW challenge in blogland and it's all about CAS Christmas!!  For those of you who follow me, you know how much I LOVE making Christmas cards, and I just love the CAS style too, so this is a win win for me!!

This month is all about using HOLLY on your cards, and I whipped up a very CAS card using a PTI die called Holly Jolly (how fitting, right?!) and a SU! embossing folder called Holly!

I used a scrap of cardstock that I had used Lindy's Magical Powders in Ponderosa Pines Olive on to die cut one set of Holly leaves and gold mirror cardstock to cut the 2nd set of leaves from.  Here's a closer up view so you can see some of the detail of the Lindy's Magical Powders...LOVE this stuff!!

The shimmer and shine of this stuff IRL is just amazing!!  I embossed my sentiment in gold from PTI's Beautiful Berries: Winter and then layered my top panel to another piece of gold mirror cardstock.  QACAS as Darnell would say!!  May have to make a few more of these as it was very easy to do and I still have some scraps of the green left!

Make sure you check out all the GORGEOUS cards from the DT using Holly and then play along...another chance to get those Christmas cards done BEFORE next December.  You can find all the details to play along right HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

  6. This is such a shiny and classy CAS holly card, Marcia! The detail of the die-cut holly with Magical Powder is so beautiful (thanks for the close-up pic!) and I'm sure it looks more shimmery in real life! The mirror gold paper used here and there and the gold heat-embossed sentiment add festive flair to the card. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Christmas! Hideko xx
