I just love her all bundled up in her Winter coat and carrying all her holiday packages!
I love how this card turned out, but I had originally planned on just coloring her totally with Copics and thought I was using a alcohol ink marker friendly ink. However, when I started coloring her face and boots, I was getting bleeding, so I switched to paper piecing the rest of the image...still turned out cute! The DSP is from SU!'s Festive Farmhouse paper and the frame is using PTI's Pierced Feature Frames.
For my 2nd card I stamped the girl in Versafine Onyx Black and then heat embossed with clear...made coloring with my Copics so much easier! I did use more of the Festive Farmhouse DSP for her packages and the trees (Gina Marie Designs die) and frame.
Here's a closer up so you can see that I added a little snow hill and added glitter to it to add some sparkle. I also WOS'd the little stars on the trees to look like twinkle lights. Both of these cards were finished off with some simple jute twine. How is your Christmas card stash coming along?? I think I'm getting close! Now if I can just get them all signed and addressed and in the mail BEFORE Christmas!! :0)
Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!
Oh my word Marcia, these are as cute as can be! Sorry for the bleeding but the paper piecing turned out to be the perfect solution. I love the prints you chose. The sparkly snow under her feet is genius. Totally, totally adorable!!
