Good thing the new MFT Tweet Friends stamp set makes me think of warmer days so I could come up with a couple cards!!
I decided on a birthday card (because my stash is seriously low!) and a Valentine's Day card using these sweet little feathered friends.
Both birds were water colored with my Zigs and an Aqua Painter, and then this sweet little bluebird was mounted to a zig zaggy piece of DSP (PTI) and framed out with an AliExpress die. The sentiment comes from MFT's I'm Tweet On You set and the music notes are from the Tweet Friends set. Easy peasy and CAS and I love how it turned out!!
Had some left over Bokeh scraps, so I used the pink and red piece for the starting point of my Valentine card. A simple heart and arrow die cut (MFT), the same birdie from the Tweet Friends set but water colored in pinks and just a hint of red, and a sentiment from PTI's Heart Squared set finished off my 2nd easy peasy and CAS card! Can you tell I really like CAS?!
Check out all the FABULOUS inspiration from Darnell, the DT, and special GD, and then play along right HERE. The challenge is open till the 24th.
Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!
Aww, what a sweet little bird! Your cards are both adorable Marcia!
ReplyDeleteThose little birds are darling and I adore your sweet cards! Great job coloring with your zigs. I've given up trying... but you always inspired me. Never give up! I'm so in love with your bokeh background.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute and adorable little bird image. Beautiful cards, both of them and love how you've designed them so very differently, whilst using the same adorable image...fabulous x
ReplyDeleteI do like CAS too. :-) Your bird cards are perfect. Colourful birthday card with sweet bird is fantastic designed and little bird is colored perfectly. Fot the Valentine card there is nothing else to say as amazing. I like bokeh part. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove both your Twofer Birds cards, Marcia. Such sweet birds and creative card designs. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteThose birds are adorable, Marcia, and your card designs show them off beautifully.
ReplyDeleteGuess what, Marcia? Dictionary.com called and they want to put the photo of your Twofer cards next to the word "CASorable." Yes, it's a new word!! But seriously, these two designs really are darling! I love them and the pretty colors you used! I still have some of that great zig-zaggy DSP on your bird-day card and I think it was genius to use your leftover beautiful bokeh for your super cute Valentine! Thank you for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #12! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDelete(p.s. I thought at first the Valentine sediment was "I heard you." Wouldn't that be a cool sediment to put on a card to let someone know you understand what they said/how they are feeling?!)
Adorable cards Marcia! Your bird-day card is so sweet with the pretty colours of the zig-zag background that you used on the cute bird. Lovely with the scalloped edge aperture. Your Valentine's Day card is SWEET! Love the strip of bokeh on the side ... the black strip really adds a lot of contrast, making those reds and pinks pop! Fun design with the arrow through the heart and another of your perfectly coloured birds. Thanks for playing with us at Twofer Card Challenge! xx
ReplyDeleteYes. and we're all just thrilled to see you work your CASmagic with these darling birds! They've yet to perch on my craft table... but there might not be room for them at the moment!!
ReplyDeleteLOve your darling little bluebird, Marcia... they eat the holly berries right outside my window! this little tweetheart would be cute in any color - especially with your coloring skills!

These birds are adorable, Marcia! I love how you've colored them and the layouts! A tweet, tweet birthday card with the singing bird! The red Bokeh with the pink and red bird and heart make a fantastic Valentine! Great job, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYou're so good! I love CAS and I love that you love it 'cause now it's here for me to love back! I've been seeing these birds a lot and they sure are cute. There are simply too many adorable stamps out there! Both your cards are super designs, beautifully CAS and lovable! Thanks for playing with us in the Twofer Challenge, Marcia!
ReplyDeleteWell, I heart these cards, Marcia! Those birds have me all twitterpated. The colors on both are fabulous, and your watercoloring of these little cuties is perfect! Great chevrons, scallops and well, everything; your designs are awesome!! I don't mind the cold any more, and last night's snow is the first since November. Waaaay too hot in FL and the southwest. So happy to see you in the gallery at the Twofer Challenge! xo Bev
ReplyDeleteI really love CAS design too, Marcia ... and your twofer is a wonderful example! That little bird is so sweet ... whether dressed in blue and framed against that fun, celebratory PP ... or in her pink-with-a-touch-of-red plumage with the bold heart and dreamy bokeh panel! I can relate on the chilly temperatures ... don't think we were made for siberian ones! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer ... and stay warm! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWell aren't they the cutest! I love the two different designs and the pretty colours... Beautiful cards my friend!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are wonderful, Marcia! I love your coloring on both of those adorable birds and your designs are so crisp and cheerful! Perfect way to use your scrap of bokah paper too! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThese are two adorable cards! I know what you mean about the weather...when I got up yesterday...I looked out my back window and saw the outdoor thermometer on our shed... I said to my hubby, "I think our thermometer is broken it reads 0."
ReplyDeleteTwo darling cards for the twofer challenge, Marcia! Just love that sweet birdie and how you colored her two ways!!
ReplyDeleteSweet and adorable! Love your coloring!
