Nancy included SOOOO MANY great elements for celebrating the hope of Spring (yes please!), birthdays, fresh clean air, & flowers in bloom, that it was impossible not to smile while creating with this FUN kit!
Kept my background clean with white on white so the focus would be on the seahorse (Hero Arts)...I wish I could of captured the shimmer and shine of the Lindy's Magicals I used ! I also used a gelly roll pen that looks like a gold & silver combined and is so sparkly!
I also used Copics on the top and bottom of the carousel and the saddle on the seahorse.
I had to make a shaker card with all the pretty gems (PPP) Nancy included in the kit and the unicorn piñata (also PPP) was a perfect fit for this celebratory card! Setting this card aside for my granddaughter Addy's birthday later this year...she's really into unicorns! :0)
I am such a flower lover and absolutely adored the layered flower die cuts (Rose Flurries - Altenew) Nancy included! I sponged the edges a bit on each layer before assembling them and then added them to one of the GORGEOUS floral DSP's Nancy included in the kit.
Nancy also included this adorable little otter (Lawn Fawn) and of course I had to use him!! And don't you LOVE that balloon DSP??!! (Echo Park)
Here's a pic of all 4 cards together. I still have lots of supplies left to do some CASE-ing...I'm always amazed by how we all think alike on some of our cards and then others are like WOW...why didn't I think of that?!! :0)

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!
Wowza Marcia! Your cards are stunning!! I love that you made a shaker card using the full panel of celebration sentiments. So clever of you and a great way to utilize the contents of Nancy's kit. Your layered roses on that beautiful floral paper is brilliant! Trimmed in gold, it is so beautiful. You did Nancy proud with your beautiful creations. Love them all!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right when you say it's fun to see how we think alike, but on each one of these cards I'm thinking, "Wow...why didn't I think of that!" So creative, Marcia! I love the white on white behind that gorgeous peach and teal seahorse! I'm amazed by the full size shaker using the sentiments so that the pinata can swing around! So gorgeous how you inked the edges of the roses, and your design shows them AND the paper off beautifully! Your otter found the perfect home among those wonderfully festive papers and it just makes me smile BIG TIME!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a kit, and double WOW for the cards you've made! That carousel seahorse is beautiful. Love those colors together and boy do they pop against that pretty white die cut. Just like the center of a real one - clever girl!! Love how you've used those die cut roses, too. Well, actually, I really like all of your cards - can't pick one over the other from this group. Way cool. Well done my friend! xo Bev
ReplyDeleteOH my goodness...so much beauty on your post today. Love all your sweet creations, your sweet otter card is so fun and festive and those flowers that you shaded, simply brilliant! But your pinata shaker card is simply the BEST! Love them all.
ReplyDeleteMarcia I love how you mastered all the pattern paper here! I wanted to put the roses with the rose paper like you did, but couldn't manage it. Your addition of the solid is just the thing! I adore the shaker with the stamped sentiment sheet (very clever) and how you broke up the patterns on the balloon paper to add that sweet little otter. I think I can learn a thing or ten from you! :P Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party, Marcia!
ReplyDeleteYour cards look like a lot of fun! You had a great kit to work with, I think I am jealous:) Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThere's a whole lot of fabulous in this post Marcia! I love your shaker. What a great idea to use the whole sentiment panel that Nancy sent as your background. I'll have to remember that! How fun that we both put that darling otter on a circle die! Splendid cards!
