Lisa packed this kit with so much Spring time goodness and I loved every bit of it! Lisa also has a couple of mini kits available to give away, so check out her blog here to find out how to win one!
So sit back and enjoy and see what Spring looks like from the Whimsical Garden perspective...
This DSP matched perfectly with the sentiment from Stampendous and the little frog from Art Gone Wild dancing in the puddles...I colored the frog up with some Copics and WOS and then layered with some Berry Sorbet cs and finished with a few of the PPP Metallic Rose Gold sequins that were included in our kit.
This card was made mostly from one of the DSP included in the kit, and I wanted to make it resemble a store front, so I die cut a frame (PTI's Pierced Feature Frames) from some kraft cs that I had stamped using SU!'s Hardwood background stamp, and then inlaid the DSP to make it look like the shops front window. The top of the DSP had the striped awning design, so I fussy cut it out and added it to the top with some dimensionals behind it to give the illusion of depth. I thought this sentiment from the kit was fitting to use on the window and simply finished off by adding the wooden button Lisa included in the kit.
This card was so incredibly simple to put together and actually reminds me of a Marybeth card...she always has the most beautiful CAS cards!! For this card I simply used a strip of one of the DSP and also a strip of the Darice Pearlescent paper that matched the tiny die cut bow (Mama Elephant). Lastly I added the 3 bunnies from Impression Obsession and had a sweet CAS card!
This is another Art Gone Wild image (Being There) that was so much FUN to color (Copics) and then simply layered with some of the DSP and green cardstock. The "hello" die cut is from PPP and the "friend" part of the die cut I added to the inside along with a few strips of DSP and cs. I also added a few more of the PPP Metallic Rose Gold Sequins...love, love, LOVE them!! :0)
And last but not least is my favorite I think! The papers in this kit were just so BEAUTIFUL and I especially liked the 2 I used on this card along with the Pale Peony cs and die cuts Lisa included in the kit. The little floral (Let Love Bloom) was colored in with a few Copics and I finished with a piece of seam binding ribbon and a few more of the PPP Metallic Rose Gold Sequins.
Here they are ALL together and I just couldn't be happier with the way they all turned out! Thank you SO much Lisa for such a WONDERFUL kit...it truly was a joy to work with!
As always, make sure you check out what the rest of the DT did with the same kit HERE … you will be blown away with the creativity!! :0)
Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!
Good morning Marcia, you made 5 beautiful and thoughtful cards with Lisa's lovely kit. Yes it was fabulous! You put all of your patterns together perfectly and so balanced. I especially love how you paired Kermit with the sentiment, made the dimensional awning and coloured the tiki hut. I really enjoy seeing what you have done with the kits each month my friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat GORGEOUS cards you created!! I love the way you used the papers in this kit and your fun use of the images is fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all lovely Springtime cards, Marcia. Hoping to send our nice weather across the lake to you, too. It's lovely to see that you've used all that designer paper on your cards. I have this 'thing' for patterned paper, so it was so nice to see how you've used it here. That triple bunny card is adorable, but then so is that frog - in polka dots no less!! What a beautiful array you've got here. Love them all!! xo Bev
ReplyDeleteOh my, Marcia! What a sight to behold! Each of your cards shows a different aspect of your talent! I love the frog's pink polka dotted rain jacket! Your CAS white on white bunny card is genius with the sweet bow and strip of paper bordering the most neutral of the DSP! Your innovative flower shop window is amazing with the popped up awning and play on words in your sentiment! I love how you used the button too! Your coloring is wonderful on the bunnies' umbrella - so much texture in that topiary! Your "thanks" card design is gorgeous the way you paired the two darker papers together to really bring out the forward images. How fun to see this wonderful kit through your creative eyes, Marcia!

ReplyDeleteOh goodness, Marcia ... your collection of spring-time cards is an absolute delight! They're all so deliciously fresh and feminine ... and beautifully put together! If I had to choose a favourite (and it's been tough!), it'd be the bunnies frolicking across the 'field' of leaves ... it's CASilicious and so charming! Hugs, Anita :)

ReplyDeleteMarcia, where do I begin. All of your cards are so sweet! The froggie card with the rain boot paper is darling and I'm wishing I had saved out my froggie now so I could case your card. Wasn't the papers all just grand! The storefront window filled with flowers is lovely and a perfect use for those papers. I love your topiary bunnies chatting away like old friends and the trio of bunnies is perfectly CAS. Your final card showcasing the beautiful papers in this kit is the icing on the cake Well done my friend.
ReplyDeleteSo many sweet cards Marcia...love your adorable frog (my favorite) in that pretty in pink polka dot rain coat, just too darn cute! Love your use of all the beautiful patterned paper, you really made it shine! Love your sweet trio of bunnies against that white background, so beautiful. Wishing you a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteA polka dot rain coat...I LOVE it!! But then you knew I would, right? So many perfectly delightful cards Marcia. I like the way you layered things up on the thanks card, the soft coloring on the topiary umbrella card and the fabulous dimensional awning. Thanks for making my kit shine, these are all awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove every one of your designs, Marcia! The polka dot raincoat looks adorable and I'm so happy to see Berry Sorbet as your layering color, perfect for spring. Plus it's always been one of my favorites. The floral shop is fabulous especially with your fussy cut plants to add in front and a dimensional awning And didn't the patterned papers make designing easy. Your CAS bunny card is a definite winner! I fell in love with the topiary images and have enjoyed all the versions--adore your soft colors.
