And since I happen to have a few (hundred) snowmen stamps, and many which have not seen ink in quite a looooong time, I decided to make 2 cards today.
I used an older Impression Obsession stamp (E8311) which I stamped and then colored with my Copics. I used a Gina Marie Designs scalloped circle die to cut out my image and then inlaid it into a piece of Hawaiian Shores Bitty Big DSP (PTI) and adhered to a white card base. I used a MFT die for the banner and SSS's Tiny Words Christmas for my sentiment.
I just love this image of the mama snowman holding her little one to put the star on the tree! I did add some Dazzling Diamonds glitter and a couple diamond stars to finish off this card.
For my 2nd card I used a Sweet & Sassy stamp set called Snowy Hello and colored and paper pieced it before masking it and then adding the trees (Deep red - Winter Pines). The sentiment is also from the same stamp set.
I also added some Dazzling Diamonds to the pine trees in this card too...I mean I already had glitter everywhere, so why not a little more?! Isn't this another really sweet image with the bunny offering the carrot to the snowman for his nose??!!
This challenge is a FUN one to get a kickstart on those Christmas cards, so join in and play along right HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!
Oh Marcia, they're gorgeous! Love both cards, but card #2 is adorable with the bunny offering the snowman a carrot for his nose. Lovely paper piecing too. Thanks so much for playing along at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge, Jo x
ReplyDeleteOh my Yes, Marcia! These images are both so adorable!! The dazzling diamonds adds the perfect amount of glistening snow and the little star gems on the banner of the first card is such a nice touch. Love both cards and both images so much!
ReplyDeleteI am just swooning over these darling images!! and your sweet designs bring them to life!!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness are these ever adorable! Those sweet snowmen, the polka dots and sparkle all make me happy!
ReplyDeleteMarcia your cards are adorable and brought a warm smile to my face.....Thank you x Super cute cards and if they weren't snowmen and would melt I would want to hug them all x
ReplyDeleteJust darling cards, Marcia... I couldn't wait for this post to show up in my inbox! I adore that snow-mama with her shawl instead of a scarf. The bunny giving up his carrot is cuter than that famous Budweiser commercial where the snowman feeds the horse his nose!
ReplyDeleteTwo really wonderful, memorable, WINNING cards! xx

What wonderful snowman stamps, Marcia! I love the mother lifting her little one to put the star on the tree and the scalloped circle with the inset design. Your second card reminds me that I need to find that tree stamp that makes such a nice wintery background for the adorable friends! Two wonderful cards, my friend!
ReplyDeleteMarcia, those snowmen are way too adorable. I love that little snow bunny offering up his carrot for the snowman's nose (hee hee)
ReplyDeleteTwo darling, shimmery cards, Marcia ... that first scene is so sweet with the snowbaby adding the star to the top of the tree ... and the snow bunny being so generous with his carrot is just adorable! Christmas magic, my friend! Hugs, Anita :)
