Aren't those PLAID PAPERS just gorgeous?! I had a hard time cutting into the 1st piece as my instinct was to just hoard them!! But once I started it was hard to put them down!!
Had to color up this sweet little girl from PPP's School Friends and back her against some of that wonderful plaid paper (Lawn Fawn).
This time I colored (Copics) up the little guy from PPP's School Friends and added him to more of that delicious plaid paper along with some Kraft and Summer Sunrise cs that I die cut using PTI's To The Point Edgers. The little wood veneer elements are from Jillibean Soup.
I absolutely fell in LOVE with this Mondo Gerber Daisy from Ellen Hutson and did a little blending before adding it to another piece of the wonderful plaid papers Tracey included in this kit! Is there such a thing as a "PINK" lady bug? Probably not, but for the sake of my card, and me liking to be all matchy-matchy, a pink ladybug is what I pop dotted onto my sentiment flag banner.
Tracey also included one of Lawn Fawn's Reveal Wheel die cuts and since my dad has been gone for over 18 years now, and our 3 grown daughters all get their own Father's Day cards for their dad, I decided to make this card be from our dog Daisy who gives new meaning to the phrase "Daddy's Girl"! She is absolutely in LOVE with my hubby and only comes to me when "Daddy" is at work! Daisy is part Britany Spaniel (although we say part goat, part cat), so I just added a few light tan spots to her otherwise white fur and then added the die cut trees that were part of the kit and mounted them both to the front of the card that I also stamped some more trees to (Deep Red - Winter Pines). I used a piece of the navy plaid to layer with and used an MFT die to cut the banner with the "Dad, You're" sentiment to go along with the sentiments that were part of the Reveal Wheel. FUN to make and FUN to play with!!
My last card uses this sweet little girl from Sugar Pea Designs (Class Act) that I colored up with my Copics again, and then simply added her to more of that gorgeous plaid paper. I thought the sentiment was perfect for my granddaughter to give her pre-school teacher as a thank you in a couple weeks when school is done.
Here's a photo of all 5 cards together, and luckily I still have leftovers to create a few more after I see what the other gals did with their supplies. This was such a FUN kit to play with, so thank you, thank you Tracey for putting together such a delightful kit...LOVED it!! Make sure you check out what all my teamies did with this same kit right HERE...you will be blown away for sure!!
Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!
You rocked Tracey's kit Marcia, as I knew you would. Each card is just as sweet as can be! I think your pink ladybug is lovely on that beautifully colored daisy. I love the setniment tag on that card too. The ribbon and twine add wonderful texture. Your "smarty pants" card is super cute. Love the edges you used on that. I love that you made the spinner card from your dog Daisy. haha! That's just too fun! Well done using Tracey's kit!
ReplyDeleteMarcia I just love each and every card that you created with the kit. I love that you made two cards with the PPP School Friends, both are adorable. I love the way you coloured your Mondo Gerber Daisy and yes on a card of course a pink ladybug--LOVE!! Now the scene you created on your Reveal Wheel is awesome! I just gasped because that is such a fabulous idea and your hubby is going to love getting a card from sweet Daisy, so clever! Your granddaughter is going to love having that sweet card to give to her teacher the last day of school. Well done Marcia! xo
ReplyDeleteWow...five simply wonderful creations! Love each one of them. Your flower is stunning and your sweet school children are as adorable as it gets! Love your take on the spinner card, so clever and so fun.
ReplyDeleteNot only do you have some amazing cards here, Marcia, but I also just loved hearing about them and how you will use them - so meaningful! Such great designs for your school kids, and yes, of course, all is fair in love and coloring, so pink ladybugs it is! Such a gorgeous flower and I love the tag detail on your sentiment! I just love seeing your Daisy puppy on the reveal wheel and DH will get quite a kick out of it! Great combination with the navy and yellow and perfect design to highlight the sweet teacher! Such a fun post, Marcia, and fabulous cards!
ReplyDeletewhat great cards for the June occasions Marcia! I love the plaid and masculine colors - how fun to make the reveal wheel for your dog to give your hubby! xx
ReplyDeleteOh these cards are SO CUTE!!! I love the plaid and the fun reveal a wheel card. You rocked this kit!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous, fabulous, Marcia! Love that you did your daisy in pink, and a pink ladybug is absolutely okay! Both of your school friends cards are so sweet. I really like the designs! I smiled when I read your story about your dog. I'm always doing things that make people think they are our children--glad I'm not alone! It's always funny to watch their personalities. When I saw the post about Spirit (our newest), I was thinking Harry would say that we don't need any more dogs! He didn't say no as he knew I wanted her though. Now I come home and if he's at his desk, she's on his lap!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! Awesome grouping of cars Marcia!! Looks like you had a lot of fun playing with your kit. So many fantastic goodies to play with. Fabulous cards! xx
ReplyDeleteFive beauties here Marcia! Love the story and the spotted dog card, too sweet and beautiful stamped background ! Love the way you used so many of the plaids that Tracey sent out in her May kit. Awesome job with so many fun and well throughout designed cards Marchi! Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Marcia, those plaids! I'll probably use every teeny little scrap LOL! Your little school kids are teacher cards are darling and how pretty is your pink daisy. Sweet card from daisy for your hubby too. All a treat...as always ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and inspiring post, Marcia! Each card is so delightful and the stories you told equally so! I'm a matchy-matchy person, too, so I love the pink ladybug on that great sediment banner; perfect for that gorgeous daisy! And how sweet to give hubby a brilliant card from Daisy! It's the best! I am sorry to hear that you've been dodging curve balls and I'm sending best wishes that everything calms down soon! Big hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteYep, those plaids are simply fabulous, Marcia ... made even more so in your hands! What a delicious collection ... they're all fabulous! The pink gerbera with the pink ladybird is especially glorious (and why not a pink ladybird?) ... and I loved your fun tale to go with Daisy's card for your DH! Daisy sounds a character ... she'd no doubt get on with our cat ... who is part dog and part human!! Hugs, Anita :)
