And here's what I came up with using a new WF stencil & die called Square Postage Daffodil & Square Postage Die...
I started by stenciling the Daffodils in yellows and pinks and then mounted them to the square postage die cuts. Did you know there is such a thing as a pink Daffodil?! I've never seen one in real life but the pictures I've seen online are so pretty!!
I adhered both postage squares to a background using SSS's Floral Butterfly Bouquets EF and also a strip of Boho Blue cs (SU!) that I stamped with SSS's Nature In Bloom background stamp. I also added a piece of ribbon (from my stash) to separate the embossed and stamped area. I didn't follow the sketch on where to place my sentiment, but my little circle sentiment (WF - Postage Collage Circle Sentiments) fit so beautifully for the third image in the sketch. Such a quick and easy card and I really like how it turned out!

You should be very happy with that trio, Marcia! I love it and that wonderful, lettered strip and ribbon, too! I would love to see a million pink daffodils in my front yard!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along with FMS again!

The daffodils in my neighborhood are starting to wilt , so I'm enjoying your pretty paper ones! Love the pink version, Marcia. This is just lovely!
ReplyDeletePretty yellow and pink daffodils, a sweet and fun tulip embossing folder -- what more could anyone want, except this card! I love it, Marcia, even the circle sentiment
ReplyDeleteGosh, this is so pretty, and your placement of the parts is very close and a lovely version of the sketch. Soooo, new postage dies and stencil? Of course you had to have them! I'm in love with the embossing folder. Such a sweet background for anything in the springtime. I think I'll have to look for some pink daffodil bulbs in the fall!
ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect card for this time of year. Your colorful daffodils are so pretty!! I love that square postage stamp too. Tulips and daffodils are certainly a winning pair on this beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteYour card just radiates Spring, Marcia. The soft stenciling, the embossed background and stamped side panel all worked together beautifully. That was the perfect placement of the sentiment too.
ReplyDeleteYour daffodils are so pretty in yellow and pink. Love your take on Michele's sketch. Fabulous card my friend. Glad you like the black and teal color combo. :)
