I finished with a few PFS gold glitter gems and a sentiment that Michele had given last year. I think it might be from a SB's set.
Another card using the SB's Daffodil's & Tulips set and this time I pressed the image using Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink, and then stenciled the leaves and flowers with purples, yellow/orange & green inks (mostly residual inks from my blending brushes...I never wash my ink blending brushes!).
I used Kristina Werner's A2 Thin Frame dies for the black frame and the sentiment and then finished with SSS's Cream Puff Embellishments.
My 3rd card uses a WF set from Michele...NPC - Peony. I love how this stencil set has a stencil that will color your background...it adds such a bold POP of color! I used all C&9 inks for the peonies, leaves and background. I matted it with black and attached (with foam for some dimension) to a embossed background from Michele (pretty sure it's a SSS ef). The sentiment is another from Kristina Werner's A2 Thin Frame Dies. I finished with a small butterfly from SSS's Flourish Butterfly Trio and a few Cream Puff embellishments from SSS.
My last card uses the same WF NPC Peony stencil set and more C&9 inks. I used SSS's Teardrop Pinpoint Frame Dies to cut out my stenciled piece and then added foam tape behind it before adding to a SSS Tiny Flora EF layer and then a white card base. I sprayed the whole card with Sheer Shimmer Sparkle spray for a nice all over sparkle and then finished with another press plate sentiment from Michele (and Spellbinders).
Once again, we did more talking and laughing than creating, but we just always finish up the cards we started at home, so it all works out perfectly! Make sure you check out all of Michele's creations HERE...you know she'll blow all of us away with her creative genius! And THANK YOU Michele for hosting and giving us another wonderful day to remember...Love ya!!

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

I loved your stenciled pieces with those gorgeous blue skies in the background, Marcia - your finishing touches really show them off beautifully!
ReplyDeleteYour tulips and daffodils are show-stoppers, my friend! I just love your partial cutting on the first with my favorite French script in the background, but that teensy black frame and sentiment add a modern touch that please my eye!
It was a wonderful day spent together - they always are! Love you right back and look forward to our next time!

Behold - great beauty! From pressing, to fussy cutting, die cutting and stenciling, they're all just amazing, Marcia. I'm just jealous I wasn't invited - ha!
ReplyDeleteI love when you and Michele get together and, honestly, I love hearing about it as much as I love the resulting cards. I figured you'd start up again when the weather got better. What a happy and fun day! Your cards are all so gorgeous! My jaw drops at the daffodils and tulips. I cannot pick a favorite between them. And those pretty peonies, sigh. I bought the pinpoint frame set, too, and just now used it. It's certainly nice when you want a feminine touch. Thanks for sharing all these lovely cards, Marcia!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I LOVE this daffodil and tulip image, but even more so in your delicate pink. The way you cut out the middle section to show off the En Francais underneath is genius!! All the cards you've shared above are AMAZING. I'm sure the two of you had a great time and can't wait until you can play with cards together again. :) xx
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you and Michele are able to have your crafty days together again. I always love seeing what you two get up to when you're together. These cards are all stunners! Te tulips and daffodils is such a pretty set and I always love the creations you make using it. The soft pink and green with the scripty background is exquisite! I'm blown away with your pink peonies with the blue background. What a gorgeous contrast in color. They're all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your daffodil cards are stunning with the soft colors, Marcia. The peony panels are lovely and I love how you framed them differently. It's so much fun to see what you two do using each other's wonderful products. I can't wait to be able to get together with you both this summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you two could get together again. I always feel like I've shared in the fun with these posts! Your spring flowers are so pretty! I LOVE the pink daffodils! And your stenciling prowess always amazes me. And then the peonies are just as astounding! I can see the sparkle on the second peony card. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a memorable play date, especially after a long winter. Your cards are just what I imagined--love the gold pressed blooms with the script background and those peonies just pop with the blue background! I'm already looking forward to your next play date and I'll bet you are, too!
