Make It Monday #260 - From Black & White to Color

Hello friends.  Danielle is hosting this weeks Make It Monday with a fun technique where your design goes from black & white to color.  I kept mine pretty simple by starting with a Bold Blossoms Coloring Sheet and cutting off a side strip before coloring:


I used my Copics to add color to the Bold Blossoms, added my sentiment from New Every Morning, and then colored the background by blending in Salty Oceans distress ink and then adding a few water spots.  I layered both pieces onto a base of Amethyst Allure cardstock, and then finished by added a skinny strip of black between the two pieces, a few sequins, and a butterfly from Bitty Butterflies.  Had a lot of fun doing this technique and will definitely be using it again with other stamp sets!!

    So pretty! I love the soft blue background, it really makes the flowers stand out, and your black and white strip pop. You'll have to let me know where you are in Michigan, I'm from Saginaw.

    Beautiful, Marcia! What a great idea using a coloring sheet and I like the black strip between the colored and the uncolored. A great take on this challenge, my friend!
