Hello friends. Playing along with the CAS Watercolour Challenge today where the theme is LOVE.
I think this is one of the most CAS cards I've ever made! Most of you who follow me know that I have a hard time not adding and adding to my cards...it always NEEDS something!! But I'm happy to say this one doesn't NEED anything else...I'm happy with it just the way it is!!
Now I'm sure the sequins aren't considered CAS, but hey, I only added 3 and I just really like the way it helps your eyes to move around the card! I started with a piece of water color paper and embossed in clear the LOVE stamp from SSS. Next I used my Peerless watercolors in Pink Geranium and Japonica Scarlet, and when it was dry I cut it out with a Gina Marie Designs heart die. I used the same heart die to cut out the shape in my top layer and then inlaid the watercolored heart, and then attached to my card base. The rest of the sentiment is also from the SSS LOVE stamp set. The rose and leaf die cut is also from SSS...Single Roses. Definitely an easy card...the hardest part for me was waiting for the watercolor paper to dry! Well, and not adding another 5 or 7 sequins! :0)
Still lots of time to play along with this challenge, so check out all the fabulous inspiration from the DT and in the gallery! You can find it all right HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do!
I think you do CAS very well. So pretty, Marcia.
ReplyDeleteMarcia - I love your card!! It's so elegant and I think the sequins are perfect on a CAS card. Love the inlaid die look!! Happy Valentine's Day!! - Marcia K
ReplyDeleteGreat job Marcia. And you are right ... it's just perfectly CAS. :) Beautiful colours for your watercoloured, inlaid heart die-cut. Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx
ReplyDeletePerfectly CAS and gorgeous Marcia! It truly is perfect just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Marcia. Lovely watercolour heart, such an elegant card.
ReplyDeleteYou're allowed a few sequins on a CAS card! My Design Team card for CAS Watercolour has 3, and Michelle's and Bonnie's each have 5 - so you could have got away with a couple more!
ReplyDeleteLove the vibrant shades of pink and the inlaid heart! The die cut rose is a perfect finishing touch. Thanks for joining us at CAS Watercolour!
Waiting for the watercolor to dry IS the hardest part, I think! I love, love, love your heart, Marcia! Such a pretty card, my friend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Marcia! I love your beautifully watercolored heart!
