I feel like I cheated a little since my die cut created the whole scene for me, but my mojo has been sadly lacking this past month or so, so I was happy to let the die do the work! And simple as this card may be, I really like the way it turned out...
The die is from Gina Marie Designs and I love how she created the whole Winter scene in one round opening! I started with a blended background using Stormy Sky and Salty Ocean Distress Inks and then splattered a little bit with some water to resemble falling snow. I was not able to capture it with my camera, but I also added some Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist to the background and it really does shimmer IRL!
I die cut a circle opening in my top layer to fit the die cut, and then stamped my sentiment (The Greetery's Christmas Eve) before running the piece through my Big Shot with the Subtle EF (SU!). I assembled the layers onto a white top folding card base and finished! CAS and I actually love how it turned out! (Isn't it funny how some of our simplest and easiest cards turn out to be the prettiest and ones that we've worked hours and hours on are just...meh?!)

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

Your card is lovely my friend. There's no reason we can't let the dies do all the work and this one certainly fits the bill for the challenge. Well done! I hope your mojo returns soon. Maybe it's hiding along with mine. ;0) Stay well.
Why not let the die do the work?! Looks amazing in the papers you chose, Marcia!!
That is one FABULOUS die, Marcia, and I to would let it do all the work. IT makes for a sweet lovely scene.
That's such a cool die to make a fabulous winter scene - love your card Marcia, my mojo has been low too - I'm crocheting that keeps my hands and mind occupied --hugs and stay safe Robyn
I don't think your mojo is missing at all, my friend! Love this die cut Christmas scene! The inked background is perfect!
Though this isn't a scene I'd like to see outside my window any time soon, Marcia, it's fresh, cool, and beautifully CAS - that's a scene you can make anytime at all! xx

The inky background and 'subtle' texture really bring your scene design to life, Marcia.
Hi Marcia, your card is gorgeous! What a wonderful way to showcase the die - your subtle background is adorable. Love it! Thanks for playing at Christmas Kickstart again, always good to have you play along, Jo x
There's no doubt that this pandemic has affected everyone's mojo! We have the time and the excuse and yet it's just not the same... Still, your card is as always a beautiful creation. I like the font on your sentiment. Be safe and be happy
I love the stylish simplicity, Marcia ... a wonderfully blended background ... and a delightful Christmas-sy scene! Hugs, Anita :)
Your card it beautiful. I love it! So easy, but so elegant. You and I both prefer to stamp over using dies, but this die has to be the showcase of the card. Perfect! Your mojo will return soon. It's off to a good start!
The pop of soft blue is wonderful! I can just hear Santa's sleigh bells now!
