Hello friends. Found time to play with one last challenge over at Papertrey Ink's Stamp A Faire with Melissa Phillips and her Impressionistic flowers! This was such a fun challenge for me, and I loved playing with the Floral Sketches stamp set for the first time. I used basically all Melissa's same elements in my card, but changed up my colors a little and switched my jar and flowers to the left side of the card instead of the right like Melissa's. Here's what I came up with:
There were a lot of steps to making these flowers, but again, a lot of fun! I wasn't sure about the double embossing because it was hard to see where I was placing my stamp the 2nd time, but Melissa was right in that it doesn't matter and that this is kind of a messy technique...the end result looks so cool though!
Check out Melissa's video and gorgeous card, and all the other lovely cards in the gallery right HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do! :0)

Very pretty Marcia!
Just browsed your PTI cards & wow--lots of beautiful work here, Marcia! Your Blog Hop card is perfect & I love your impressionism & starry night cards!
Going through the 'great ones' and noticed your name. Love the colors, and those sweet musical banners. Beautiful!
Beautiful Marcia! You really rocked this technique!!
We were finally able to try Melissa's technique cause Colleen got the Floral Sketches in the mail yesterday. I tried one flower and decided this wasn't for me. Yours turned out so beautiful.
Oh, this is gorgeous!
So very pretty. I love that you changed up the colors, too. I wasn't that adventurous! This was a hard one for me because of the double embossing, too! This may be one reason we are such good friends...hugs!
Very pretty Marcia. Love the white embossed flowers with the soft coloring.
