Just Us Girls #76 - Anything Goes Stencil Week

Hello friends.  Playing along with the gals over at JUGS where it's STENCIL week.

I'm still a BIG fan of the Postage Collage stencils (& stamps & dies) and had just received the latest Waffleflower Sew Fun set and made a couple birthday cards for upcoming birthdays.  Here's the first one...

One of my dear friends has a birthday next week and is a fabulous quilter.  Recently she made a red, white & blue quilt for her grandson and I thought this sewing theme would look great in the same colors...what do you think??  Pretty tickled with the way this one came out and I think my friend will be too!

Of course, it's hard to make just one of these and since everything was still out, I made a 2nd card with pinks and purples.  Don't you just love that kitty?  He steals the show for me!!  The sentiment was foiled in pink using a Spellbinders set called Everyday Sentiments II.

Lots of great inspiration from the DT using stencils that you can find right HERE, so check it out and play along.  This challenge is open till Wednesday, May 28th @ 6:00PM.

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

She TOTALLY steals the show, but every single stamp-shaped square is so adorable, Marcia!
Both cards are sure to be cherished forever!

Two wonderful cards, and definitely a perfect one for a quilter! Love your colors, and the RWB one is pretty amazing, and not an expected color theme for this card

I too love those Postage Collage dies and assorted stencils. These are perfect for a sewer or quilter. Love your color combos, especially the red, white, & blue one. That cute kitty is definitely the star of the cards.

These cards are sew perfect for friends who quilt or sew in general! That kitty is adorable sleeping on the stack of fabric! I love both of these color combinations and I'm wondering why I never jumped on these postage stamp dies and stencils.

Oooh, I think this might be one of my favorites I've seen of the postage collage stencils! Your friend will really appreciate the first for a birthday card knowing you were thinking specifically of her when you made it. Both are just darling, and I'm with you about the kitty. When my stamp room was a sewing room it was never without a kitty. Now it's rarely without my Sophie.

These are both adorable! What a darling little kitty sleeping on a pile of quilts. Reminds me of a photo I have of my moms kitty sleeping on a pile of quilted sleeping mats that she made for a local cat shelter. She was an avid quilter and donated countless quilted sleeping mats to surrounding animal shelters. Your friend will love it!

I had not even seen these stamps and stencils yet, but they are now in my shopping cart! What fabulous cards. Your quilting friend is sure to love her card - how thoughtful that you made it in the colors that she used for her grandson. I love the second color combo you used and can not wait to get my hands on these supplies.
