Hello friends. I'm back with my 3rd week of being the special guest star over at City Crafters Challenge Blog and this week is a color challenge: blue, white, gray, and a touch of silver. These colors remind me of cold and snow, and beautiful, beautiful snowflakes! I used a brand new PTI stamp set called Snowflake Sparkle, and I can already tell I'm going to get a lot of use from this simple $5 set! Take a look:
I started with a small card base (5 1/2 x 3 1/2) of white and randomly stamped the snowflakes in Smoky Slate, Blueberry Sky, & Spring Rain ink, leaving the lower right corner blank for my sentiment, which is from PTI's O Holy Night. One of the snowflakes I die cut and pop dotted next to the sentiment for some dimension. Next I added a thin strip of Smoky Slate cs that I stamped with a diagonal stripe stamp from Winnie & Walter with Smoky Slate ink, and glued that to the edge of my card. Next to that I glued an even thinner strip of silver cs. A few gray enamel dots and a few rhinestones for the centers of the larger snowflakes finished off this snowy little card.
We'd love to have you play along with us and are looking forward to seeing what you create with these Winter colors! Here's the inspiration photo:
