I chose to work with PTI's Petite Places: Nativity stamp set and Nativity Scene It dies. My scalloped and stitched card base is from one of the dies in PTI's Don't Forget to Write kit, and I added a square layer that I stamped with SU!'s Hardwood background stamp in kraft ink. When I first put this card together, I used white for the palm tree layer, but it just didn't look right, so cut it again in a darker brown for some contrast. I know dark brown wasn't in the challenge description, but hopefully there's enough of the woodgrain, kraft, & white in the rest of the card! You can't see it in the photo, but the star is really sparkly from using my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen on it.
There's still time to play along with this challenge, and you can get all the info to play along and see all the DT's inspiration, right HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today...I love it when you do! :0)

We'll just call those palm trees as done in dark kraft! This is FANTASTIC, Marcia! Love this scene! Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday!
This card is so striking! It just pops off the page. I love it! I love Bonnie's comment--palm trees are done in dark kraft! LOL! Just beautiful!!
This is wonderful in kraft and white. Such a classic scene. Oh, and the numbers on my last balloon card were created with the Numbers Impression Plate from PTI.
A great card - the colours work really well.
beautiful, beautiful card!!
The Holy City looks so pretty the way that you've done it here Marcia...it reminds me of one of those puzzle boxes done in different types of wood! :)
What a nice scene Marcia!!
Wonderful Christmas card!
Marcia, I saw this in the Merry Monday link up and had to come get a closer look! It's absolutely gorgeous! I have some of the other PTI scene dies, but not the Bethlehem ones. I think I may need to invest in them for my cards this Christmas!
I'm following you now and would be honored if you returned the favor: http://carriescustomcards.blogspot.com

I think the dark brown layer adds a nice touch of contrast. You're right--it looks much better than white. :) Great card--tfs! ~ Andrea
Oh wow, Marcia--this is just fabulous!
