Garden Variety

Hello friends.  Just a quick post today to share a couple cards I made recently using PTI's Garden Variety stamp set.

This is one of those stamps sets that I HAD to have and then it sat there forever and ever!  Once I got it out I had lots of fun and wondered why I waited so long to use it!  I made both of them very vintage like and did quite a bit of distressing with Tea Dye and Walnut Stain distress inks.  The backgrounds on both are scraps of DSP that I stamped and stenciled over before adding all the little details that are in the Garden Variety stamp set.  (except for the die cut butterfly and leaf sprig on the 1st card which are both Gina Marie Designs, and the little heart tag on the 2nd card that is from PTI's Tiny Tags stamp and die set)  Fun, fun little cards that I'm sure someone will enjoy receiving in the mail!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!  :0)

WOW, awesome cards, Marcia! I have that stamp set and it has been FOREVER since I have inked it up! Have a great weekend friend!! So far the knees are feeling pretty darn good ...the fact that I can't feel them is what is awesome!! (beats a knee replacement for sure!!)

Oh my goodness, yes! These cards really speak to my vintage loving heart! You did such a fabulous job with each of them, I can't even choose a favorite. You've inspired me to pull this old but still beloved set out and give it some love. You always inspire me Marcia! Hope you have a great weekend!
