I started with a white panel and stamped HA's Snowflake Background in Smokey Slate ink and then ink blended around the edges with residual ink from my turquoise blending brush. I cut apart one of those clear envelopes and folded the edges to the back of the panel on the two sides and bottom and left the top open so I could fill it with clear sequins and some turquoise star sequins I've had for forever! Then I sealed the top to the back and then adhered it to a top folding white card base.
I added a SSS Shimmer Snowflake die cut (actually two of them for a bit of dimension) that my sweet friend Michele cut out for me to the center of the card and then added my strip sentiment that was white embossed on black cs to the center of the snowflake. I love making these kinds of shaker cards because there's nothing for the shaker bits to get caught up on and they move so much more freely. A pretty quick and easy card to make and that's what I need at this point to get those last few done!
You can check out what the DT came up with for this mood board/challenge and all the cards already in the gallery right HERE. This challenge is open till Sunday, Dec. 1st @ 8:00PM.
And for all of you celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, I wish each and everyone of you a wonderful day with family and friends and more blessings than you can count!
Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

This is beautiful Marcia! I love that you turned it into a shaker card and the fact that it's flat for mailing makes it even better. You made a beautiful background for that lacy, large snowflake. So happy to see that you've linked this up with DD Challenge as well. Stay snug and warm my friend!
Beautiful and much easier to mail! You have created the perfect place for that snowflake to land, Marcia... not at all excited about your weather forecast though!

Such a beautiful background for this amazing snowflake, Marcia! I need to try one of these shaker cards because my bits always get stuck. Sounds like you're going to be inside the snow globe, my friend. I hope you are well stocked and can sit inside and enjoy the view. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and get to spend it with those grandchildren.
Those are the best kind of shakers to make, Marcia, and you made a great panel for the sequins to shine against. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, my friend.
I'll take your kind of pretty snowflakes any day, Marcia. The lake effect kind... not so much! Pretty card. Stay warm and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Pretty shaker, Marcia, I love the colors you chose! Congrats on finding a clear envelope that DOESN'T have a hole punched in it -- I think I've found two.... ever...
Gorgeous background! I love edge to edge shakers, so much fun to make and send! Stunning snowflake you topped it off with! This is a beauty! Thanks so much for playing along with us at the Double D, Winter Challenge. Donna, DT Member.
Oh, it's so pretty, Marcia! The snowflake reminds me of a doily, and the background stamped snowflakes are all so dainty and sweet. The sequins in the shaker give the prettiest touch of color. Why have I not made this kind of shaker yet? Putting it on the to-do list. Thank you for sharing this winter loveliness with us at Double D!
This card is gorgeous, Marcia. The perfect blend of that fabulous paper, the ornate snowflake, and the shaker bits. I just love it! I hope your Thanksgiving was lovely. Ours was very low key and so wonderful. Grateful that I got to meet you this year, and it is wonderful getting to know you. I can't wait to do it again!
