I had a brand new set from Altenew called Festive Triangles that Michele and I both had fun with, and here's what I came up with. Actually this is a bit of a CASE from a card that Laura Bassen did...I just changed up my colors a bit. I think what hooked me was the sentiment stamped right over the stamped triangles...perfect for an almost one layer card!
Michele brought her The Snow Notes dies (SB) for me to play with...I just LOVE these caroling snow dudes!! My background was embossed with an OLD SU! ef called Winter Snow, and then I added the snow dudes with their polka dotted scarves using dsp from PTI. Michele also brought her Skinny Ric Rac die (also PTI) and I cut one from red to outline my festive carolers. Aren't they just the cutest?!!
My 3rd card features a set of stencils from PFS called Holiday Botanical Background that I stenciled with shades of greens and then added different sized Ruby gems (PFS) for the berries. (It SHINES a lot more in real life!!!) The die cut sentiment is from a set that Michele stamped and die cut for me from a WF set and fit perfectly in the center of this stenciled frame.
Michele had made a post (HERE) using those cute snow dudes and this wonderful dsp that she was kind enough to bring me some of to play with, so I got busy with this little cutie from Cottage Cutz (Winter Snowman) and die cut his hat and scarf from one of the polka dotted papers. I used a PTI die (Bold Borders: Polka Dots Die) and one of the backsides of the dsp that was a solid pink to create a frame for my snowman and used another piece of the dsp for the center rectangle. I just LOVE pink & red together and this dsp puts them together just beautifully! The sentiment is another from the WF set that Michele stamped and die cut for me.
So there you have my additions to my Christmas card stash, and I even have a few more in the works that I'll post at a later date! Took me a while this year to get going on my Christmas cards, but now that I've started, I'm back to being hooked! I love making all kinds of cards, but I really think Christmas card making is my favorite! Make sure you check out Michele's post (HERE) to see what she made using some of the same products...I know she'll blow us all away as usual!! And thanks Michele for the yummy lemon pie you brought for dessert...it was SOOOOOO good!! And of course for sharing your goodies to play with! I love our get togethers and friendship...it's the best!!

You have me swooning over your GORGEOUS pastel grove of Christmas trees, Marcia - Laura would be so pleased! and I love the tone-on-tone over stamping on just a few of them!
Your 'dudes' are singing my song and are just darling with their itsy bitsy polka-dot-y scarves! I'll have to remember that ric rac next time I play with them!
Gosh I do love our stenciling sessions, Marcia - that sentiment and the gems were a brilliant finishing touch!
I kinda giggle when I read the name of that Cottage Cutz dude - can there be a SUMMER snowman? I guess there could be! But no cuter than this guy - LOve that paper and your pink dotted frame! and there is MORE to love after receiving my latest order!
It never EVER gets old, my friend! And I'm always ready for our 'next time!' xx

Your triangle trees with the sentiment stamped over them is so classy! Love those colors! I'm loving the scarf colors and red rick rack frame on your Snowdudes! The stenciled frame is awesome and perfect for this die cut sentiment and I am loving that sweet snowman on the last card with the pink and red. (My mother told me that pink and red didn't go together. She was so wrong, bless her heart.) Wish I could have joined you.
Wonderful Christmas cards Marcia! Great work ... they are all so special. What a fun time you much have had with Michele. Always great when we can stamp with friends. :) xx
I SO enjoy the posts from your get togethers with Michele! It's been so long since I had a good play date with a friend. The cards you put together after are such FUN! Made me finally look up The Snow Notes and add them to my wish list. I agree about the fun of making Christmas cards. Once you get started... when you have such cute stuff to play with it's hard to stop! I love your trees with the different subtle patterns and the sentiment stamped right across. The stencil makes a beautiful frame or backdrop. And that darling little snowperson with the pretty DP! So sweet with the pink and red and polka dots! I just now noticed how much the snowperson resembles Penny Black's Snowy. Maybe that's why it's so endearing. I have new piles of Cottage Cutz from their Christmas in July sale and the retired section. Can't wait to play, and you have inspired me all the more!
The colorful trees make a stunning card, Marcia. You made fabulous frames for both of your snowman cards and they are both so cute. The large sentiment fits perfectly inside the stenciled frame. All four cards are masterpieces.
Well aren't the two of you just blessed! Playdates, sharing toys and food, and LOTS of great makes -- these cards are all fantastic and so fun, and yes that ric rac goes perfectly with the snow dudes (maybe they were made just for them)!
Once agian you two make me wish I could have been there too! Love the goodies you shared for this session. Your pastel trees are absolutely gorgeous and I'm loving the polka dots used with all of the snowmen. Marvelous makes, Marcia!
Oh I SO look forward to your play date posts and cards! I can't help but smile as I picture the two of you stamping, die cutting and putting together such wonderful cards! Love all your cards and how you put your own twist on each one. Looking forward to seeing more play date cards! Thank you for sharing!
Marcia, four beauties to add to your collection. The trees really grabbed my attention. I love the over stamping and that bold sentiment. The snow dudes...so perfect with the ric rac. I have that set on the way to me. Your greenery stamped card is so soothing and perfectly frames the sentiment. Pink and red do go together so nicely. Sweet snowman. Glad you had a good time.
