Good morning friends. Just a quick post today to show you a CAS card I made for my daughters bridal shower this past weekend. I have been so busy with wedding preparations lately that it didn't even hit me till Friday last week that my daughter would expect a hand made card to go with her gift. And of course when you're in a rush, the mojo just doesn't seem to be there...grrrrrrrrrr! But once I started thinking about it, I remembered I had an older SU! set ("Long Stemmed") that had 2 Calla Lillies in it that would be perfect as that is what Colleen wants her bridal bouquet to be. Take a look:
My daughter has a very clean and simple style and has never liked the glitz and frills (like her older sister!!), so in the end I was pleased with the simplicity of this card and she liked it too! :0) The card stock is a pearlized textured green (from my local scrapbooking store) and the ink is SU!'s Gumball Green. The embossing folder is from Darice and the sentiment is from SU!'s "Love and Laughter". A couple diamond rhinestones on either side of the sentiment finished off the card.
That's all for today friends. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday! :0)

Marcia,
The card you made for your daughter is beautiful. those cala lillies make is very elegant. Love the texture of the backgound paper and the torn edges.
Have fun planning your daughter's wedding. It's hectic bot oh so much fun. You might want to start making her wedding card now because believe me if you do wwait til the day is near, you are right your Mojo is GONE! that is what happened to me with my daughter's wedding. When my son got married in June, I made the card ahead of time and I was so pleased with my card. I think it is the card on my blog that also gets the most hits.
You are absolutely right about not waiting till the last minute and I do have a couple ideas floating around in my head. I love the die cuts from PTI with the tux and wedding dress and I also love Lily of the Valley stamps and specifically bought the bridal couple in the carriage for my daughters wedding...I'll probably do both and then decide which one I like best. I did look up your son's wedding card and it's beautiful!! Thanks so much for another great idea! And for taking the time to comment...have a great day! :0)
