Make It Monday #312 - Framing Sentiments & Images

Hello friends.  Laurie Schmidlin is up on this week's Make It Monday challenge, and she has a great video with tips on how to frame our sentiments (or images) to make them the focal point of our cards.  You can check out her video and BEAUTIFUL cards HERE.

I used the Leaf & Sprig Frames die set and Year Of Psalms: March stamp set along with a piece of Harvest Gold DSP to make my verse really pop.

And yes, I used Farmer's Market Florals and Brushed Birds AGAIN...sorry folks, just can't get enough of them!!  I was inspired by the colors Melissa Phillips used on a card HERE for my color palette, and used Harvest Gold, Bright Buttercup, Honey Nut, Canyon Clay, Simply Chartreuse, & Ripe Avocado.  I also added some WOS to the fern (Holiday Greens) and did some splattering around the edges with Honey Nut ink.

Love how bright and cheerful this turned out and after 2 solid days of rain, I needed some color!!  But on a positive note, other than a few mounds, the snow is gone...YAY!!  I am so ready for Spring!!

Make sure you check out Laurie's BEAUTIFUL cards and her video (HERE) and then play along.

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

Gorgeous card, Marcia! Beautiful arrangement with the flowers and bird...I feel the same way, those two are so fun to play with and make beautiful bouquets! We have snow...who would think on Feb 20 we would get snow enough to shut down school!! It won't last though, just long enough to enjoy it and then get on with life!! Happy week friend!

This is a beautiful card that is so Spring-like! The flowers and bird colors are a lovely combination. We have warm weather now but will go back to normal in a few days.

Lovely card!!! Man, I've been trying to order those two stamp sets for a long time, but they're always OOS when I have gone to order. They look so beautiful together, too!

Good grief...you wouldn't believe that I've been trying to comment on your post for at least a half a
dozen times. Can't seem to figure out why sometimes I can, sometimes I cannot. Any ways, I love
how your card turned out! The sunny yellows make everything pop...especially the PP behind your
sentiment. And the white Mix and Mat frame is just perfect. Great job, Marcia!

This is such a pretty card, Marcia!! I love the stamping of your verse on that bright paper and who doesn't love a bouquet in any color...but these are especially bright and sunny! Living in Colorado, we have a big blanket of snow right now...so Spring has to show up in my stamping...or not at all! So grateful for this craft! :)
