A Playdate with Michele

Hello friends.  Michele and I had another fun playdate together last week, and we played mostly with Penny Black images (although I think Michele has a few other things to share with you from my stash.)  I have 4 cards to share with you, so let's get right to it!

My 1st card uses everything Penny Black except for the sentiment.

The stamp set is called sweet sledder and I Copic colored her and added her to a frame using the Crystal Frames die with foam tape used behind both onto my card base.  The die cut trees are using the Tree Border die and I added glitter to add some sparkle to the scene.

I finished this one with a simple sentiment from Gina K's All At Once: Christmas Sentiments.

This sweet little girl from the bundled buddies set was Copic colored and paper pieced with polka dotted dsp from PTI.  My background was ink blended with blue & green and then splattered with white acrylic paint for snow.  The two trees are from PB's tall trees dies in Old Olive & Mossy Meadows cardstock (SU!).

My sentiment for this card came from the sweet sledder set that I used on my first card.

This little sweetie is from PB's Let's Chill stamp set and was colored with my Copics and a white gel pen for the plaid look on her scarf.  I cut her out using PB's Stitched Square & Circles die, using one of the larger circle dies on the image and a smaller circle die for the sentiment (PB's Feeling of Christmas).  My background uses an embossing folder from Richard Garay that I've had forever and lightly blended pink ink over the top of it.  A few pink glitter gems from PFS finished off this one.

My last card uses one of the little carolers from the Sing Joy stamp set and she was once again colored with my Copics and added to a postage die cut (also PB) that was ink blended with a light gray.

I stamped a background using SSS's Hand Lettered Holiday with Real Red ink and added a thin Smokey Slate cs layer behind that before adding all to a white card base.  I finished with some red & white baker's twine and a few red glitter drops from PFS.

So there you have my sweet little group of girls using PB stamps and Michele will be sharing some of these same cuties on her blog that you can find right HERE.  This was a perfectly timed playdate, as it was the day after the elections last week and we both needed the support of a good friend and someone to share our concerns with.  It sure didn't stop us from having a wonderful time together and as always, Michele treated me to a wonderful lunch of chilli and cornbread and I brought pumpkin cheesecake bars for dessert.  Yummy!!!  I'll have a few more cards to share later on using some of the goodies Michele let me use while I was there, so stay tuned.  In the meantime, definitely go check out Michele's post to see what she did with these same stamps and more.  And thanks Michele for your wonderful friendship and a wonderful day spent together...always the best!!

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

Ha! You probably won't be surprised to see that little sledder as the first stop at my blog, too, Marcia! Gosh, I just love her - and also made her mine! That frame is so very pretty - and those little trees are new to me - cute!
OH, I love those paper-pieced coat and boots - so clever and your fussy-cutting skills are awesome.
That chilly little girl looks so pretty in pink, and I am so impressed with your plaid on her scarf! Another lovely sentiment.
Please remind me to stamp a few of those SSS backgrounds next time okay? OR I may have to find the right font and recreate 'Shelly's Letter to Santa' ... there's a favorite Christmas color combo - just love it!
Know what else I love? YOU and our time together! [just ate the last pumpkin square last night!] Thanks so much for a wonderful, much needed day! x

This is such a wonderful array of cuties, Marcia! It's impossible to pick a favorite! I love the way Sweet Sledder seems to be looking up at something beautiful in the sky. I love the frame of snowflakes. Little polka dot red ridinghood is so dear all bundled up among the trees. Little Let's Chill looks mighty cold even though she is all bundled. Love the way you framed her and the sentiment. And finally, the happy caroler! Oh I have got to get these stamps inked up! I just love the joy on the face of this little one. That is how I feel when I sing!! Love all of these Marcia. And I am so glad you were with Michele on that fateful day. Getting together was the best thing you both could have done. I so wish I was there with the both of you. Sending many hugs your way.

You two sure know how to kick up the cute factor! Gosh are these all ever so sweet, Marcia. That little sledder is a doll and I love the colors you picked for her outfit. You know my favorite is your darling wee one all snuggled into her polka dot outfit! Your Lets Chill lass sure does look cold, but so cute bundled up in pink. You've picked the perfect colors for your caroler, what a fun card! So happy you two shared another wonderful day together... I was with you in spirit XO

The images are all so adorable, Marcia, and you really brought them to life with your wonderful coloring. I never thought of paper piecing that buddy one but I will definitely try that if I can find what I did with the stamp. I'm so glad you and Michele had a great day sharing.

I really need that sweet sledder! She's been on my wishlist for long enough! And your other little bundled tots are darling! I can tell that you had a fun time together and I'm sure you both felt better at the end of the day. Can't wait to see the rest of what you did.

Each card is just the sweetest, Marcia! PB images are so darling, and you've mastered the perfect layout for each one. I'm also loving those Circle/Square dies too.... hmmm I just might be "enabled" at the moment

Oh my stars, are these ever adorable!! I can't even pick a favorite as PB images are all the best. I love how you've colored the sweet little girl and her sledding snow friend. The sparkly trees in the background make this card glisten like snow on a sunny day. So glad to see a second appearance of the Bundled Buddy. I think I just may have to try my hand a paper piecing one of them. Let's Chill is simply adorable with her pale blue, plaid scarf. And finally that darling caroler. I just can't get enough of these!! So glad you and Michele had a fun day of paper therapy together.

Ohhh, Marcia, where to start? Well, at the beginning, of course! I think that's one of my favorites of the kids, but your Let's Chill girl all bundled up in pink is mighty sweet, too! Such a pretty woven scarf you created for her. Love the pretty embossing for texture. But back to the top... my crystal frame is still sitting out waiting for a turn this Christmas. I love how you used it here. And those trees! There's always something more for me to want, sigh. I absolutely love the darling polka dot outfit for your bundled kid with more cool trees in the background. You're so good at paper piecing. And for a darling finish your little caroler is singing out her joy! What a way to spend the day and lighten the burdens on your heart!

Wow, what a wonderful group of cards Marcia. I love you coloring on each of these adorable images and your design on each card. The little sledder has to b my favorite image, along with that cute caroler. Thanks for sharing these beauties.

Super cute and adorable cards. I love them. I think it's cool you and Michele have "play dates" and share what you create with us.
