I have a fun and modern floral card for you today using a Spellbinders die set called Towering Blooms that I snagged for a great price back in early December when they were having a warehouse sale. Take a look:
I started by using a white neutral background that I embossed using Spellbinder's Autumn Chevron embossing folder, before attaching it to a kraft panel and white card base. Next I die cut the flowers, leaves and vase from kraft and red cardstock and then did a bit of ink blending on the red flowers and the vase (to differentiate between the vase and the leaves and also ran the vase through my Subtle ef for a bit of dimension).
Hopefully you can see the ink blending a bit better on this close up? Next, I started arranging all the pieces on my embossed white layer until I was happy with the arrangement and then added the black centers to the 2 largest flowers and behind the branch with the buds.
Here's an even closer close up so you can see the texture on the vase and the embossed white background. The die set comes with 3 sentiments, and I chose the "smile" one that I die cut in black so it would stand out from all the kraft and red. Super easy card to put together and I love the fun and modern look to these blooms!
The DT and our Special GD Stephanie S. have come up with some AWESOME inspiration for you for using these 2 colors, so make sure you check it out and play along with us...we'd love to see YOU in the gallery! You can find all the info you need to play along right HERE. This challenge is open till Tuesday, Jan. 14th @ 9:00AM.

This is just spectacular!!! Loving the color combo with florals. I especially love your woodgrain vase.
I think your new set was created for this color combo! What a fabulous card, Marcia. Happy New Year to you, sweet friend!
Marcia, I am totally, completely and utterly in LOVE with your Towering Blooms card! So eye-catching, striking, gorgeous! Talk about an impressive showcase of the challenge colours!
I don't think I've seen this set carried by any of the Canadian retailers where I shop (and where I'll continue to shop, given our low dollar and unpredictable mail service), but I'll be on the lookout. Hugs and Happy New Year!

Marcia, as soon as I saw your card, I hopped over to Spellbinders only to discover that the dies are no longer available. This card is stunning! The bold blooms are truly a stand-out against the white background. Your ink blending also adds so much to the card! Happy New Year!
Oh wow! LOVE your flower in kraft and red, but this card is such a winner in so many ways!
Love those warehouse sales! Also love these fill the card front kind of dies. Such a cool look, and this one is fantastic in the kraft and red. I can see your ink blending perfectly and it's wonderful how it can make all the difference. The texture and depth of color you added to the pot is ideal. You didn't forget the background, either, clever girl! Looking forward to more of your crafty inspiration in 2025!
Gorgeous card using your new dies, Marcia. Aren't sales fun??!! :) Love the shading you've added, really brings everything to life. xx
The shading on the flowers and vase really make an impact on your modern floral card, Marcia.
I love the deep red and kraft together, especially using this awesome die set!! Happy New Year my friend.
