PBSC January - Anything Goes...Optional "Something New"

Hello friends.  I was lucky enough to receive some new Penny Black stamps for Christmas from my sweet friend Sue, and the cuddle up set was the first one to get colored up!  Take a look...

Aren't they just the cutest little couple all snuggled up together against the cold?  They must live in Michigan like me!  I colored the image with my Copics and then fussy cut the image out.

My background consists of PB's stitched square & circles (the largest circle die in the set) and PB's tall trees dies.  Although it's hard to see in the photos, I ink blended the background of the circle die in residual blue ink from one of my blender brushes. My image of the couple was added over the circle with foam tape for a bit of dimension.

I finished this card with a sentiment from the cuddle up set and embossed it in white on a strip of black.  I thought about adding some bling, but then decided it really didn't need it!

Lots of inspiration from the DT that you can find right HERE, so check it out and then play along.  This challenge is open till Friday, January 31st @ 8:00PM.

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

Yes, they could live in MIchigan. But they need to build a roaring fire to sit by this morning, Marcia!
These cuties warm me up just looking at them! So adorable - and I LOve her grey coat and boots!
Snuggle in, my friend!

Were there ever two sweeter sweeties sitting on a log? I think not! They're adorable, Marcia, and I love the colors in which you dressed them. So soft and pretty. The die cut background you created is perfect for these darling little friends! I can see the soft blue inside the circle and it's just enough. Your friend sure chose the right gift for you! Stay cozy and keep crafting!

This is adorable, Marcia! I love the colors you used to color this sweet pair! It brings back memories of my brother and I sitting on a log watching our sister skate. Thanks for the memory, my friend.

What a darling card, Marcia! I love these two warming by the fire. It has been so cold here in NJ too with a little snow thrown in. I love that there was some on the ground for the holidays. I love the colors you chose for the clothing on this adorable couple and I love the white on white background. Beautiful make with your PB supplies!

Your little snuggled up sweeties are the cutest pair! Your coloring is perfect and so pretty offset by the white on white background. It's been super cold and very windy here, making it feel even colder. I'm ready for spring already!

Your couple are so sweet, Marcia, and beautifully colored. Leaving the dies white gives lots of texture without distracting from those cuties. I just did a PB card. Thanks for the reminder of the challenge.

Beautiful card! Leaving the background all white emphasises the cold and makes the couple look snug in the winter clothes! Thanks so much for sharing at Penny Black Saturday Challenge:)
