I die cut all 67 pieces for this small snowman (JK! But Tim does use a lot of die cuts for his images!!) and managed not to get too much glue everywhere (mostly my fingers!!). My snowflake quilt frame was die cut from PTI's Bitty Big DSP and then again twice from white cs to add some dimension and sturdiness to the frame. I used the same DSP for one of the background layers to tie it all in to the frame too.
In this close up you can see a bit more of the detail and also the white panel that I embossed with SSS's Icy Snowflakes embossing folder. I have quite a few snowflake ef's, but I honestly think that this one might be my favorite as I reach for it quite often!! My sentiment also comes from an older PTI set called Winter Hills and I thought it fit perfectly with the addition of the red heart the snowman is holding. Pretty simple card but I'm happy with the way it turned out and thrilled also to have another Christmas card done for next year (well, really this year!!). Now if I only can keep it up!!

After the initial shock I laughed about the 67 pieces, tee hee! And the glue. I can so relate. Your card is such a treat, Marcia! Cute and fun and an inspiration to all of us. Those snowflakes do look icy, and I notice how they match the PTI snowflake. It's so sweet how the sentiment and red heart work together. Gosh, I just love it all!
He's worth the effort, Marcia he's adorable! I love the way you have him placing the heart in the center of the quilt. This is a darling card!
Wow! I love each detail of this card, Marcia! Your snowman is perfect of course, the snowflake embossing special too, but that polky dotty paper cut into that large snowflake frame takes the cake!
This card is absolutely adorably CUTE. I had to look twice when you said 67 pieces LOL, but some do feel that way, kind of like the cottage cutz ones, but love them dearly!

Super cute and super fun! This snowman came together like a charm with your magic fingers, glue and all! I had to take a second glance at Mr. Frosty to see all 67 pieces, and then the light bulb went off. There's a point to where one can be a little too naive. You have a keen eye for pairing the quilted snowflake with the embossing folder in the background. Perfectly paired my friend~
67 pieces! Oh my! It's funny, I have bee fishing in my PTI stash lately and spent an inordinate amount of time looking for the Quilted Winter set, and I love quilt designs. As if I need a new old stamp set! But I love it and I love what you have done with it here. That snowmn is so adorable. I love the way you placed the heart in his hands in the center of the quilt block. Love the polka dot paper and the embossing. Good on you for making another Christmas card. I made one and already broke my promise to myself to make at least one a week! Fabulous card. I love everything about it.
