While Halloween is the way I went, you can go any direction you want with this color pairing...as long as you remember to stick with these two colors (neutrals are acceptable). Here's what I came up with...
I started by blending my background with DOX inks...Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade & Carved Pumpkin. I did add a small die cut circle with temporary adhesive on the back to my panel before I started ink blending to look like the full moon was out. Next, I stamped in black using two Lavinia sets called Small Trees & Forest Scene on the left and right sides and then stamped the trick or treaters from SU!'s Scary Cute also in black to create my silhouetted scene.
To finish I added my sentiment (also from SU!'s Scary Cute set) and a few flying bats and then sprayed the whole panel with Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spray before adding it to a white card base.
The DT and our Special GD Annette have all outdone themselves with cards to inspire you to play along and you can check it all out right HERE. This challenge is open till Thursday, Oct. 29th @ 9:00AM. Join in the FUN...we can't wait to see what YOU create using these two colors!!

Absolutely adorable! Marcia, it's the cutest Halloween treat-no-tricks card EVER!

What a darling scene you've created for your trick-or-treaters! This is fun, Marcia!
Looks about right-- all the kiddos scuttering about to collect their goodies before the sun sets!
You always have the perfect stamps, Marcia. The silhouette of the kids trick or treating is such a fun way to use black against the bright orange sky.
What a perfect Halloween scene, Marcia! My favorite part is the moon hiding behind the tall trees. You did an exceptional job here! Well done! Hope things are settling down for you and your mom is doing better.
This is adorable Marcia! What a great use of those colors. Everything in silhouette mode is brilliant against the orange background. I don't know why, but this makes me think of Charlie Brown.
OMGosh, those trick-or-treaters are way too adorable and what a fabulous scene they make together with the Lavinia trees. I just love this! Scary cute for sure!
This is definitely scary, cute and so adorable, Marcia! Fantastic ink blending! Those trick or treaters will be out soon!
Halloween was never my favorite holiday, but I did love going treat or treating with my granddaughters when they were little. This delightful scene brings back those memories. The full moon and the dimensional bats really bring this scene to life! Fantastic card!
What a fun scene you created Marcia. I too like your tall trees with the moon peeking through. The little parade of little ones is cute also.
Marcia, what an utterly delightful Halloween scene you've created! I love those cute trick-or-treaters and the spooky looking trees on either side of the panel. Just fabulous, my friend!
Marcia your card is so cute and I want to make one just like it. The background blending is fabulous, as your always are. I love the silhouette of trick or treaters walking along! You are always such an inspiration to me my friend! xo
Such a pretty, seamlessly blended background (adding that ink combination to my must-try list); perfect for your silhouette forest and trick or treaters scene. Wonderful inspiration, as always!
Hugs~carol
There are so many cute things on this card but my fav element is the moon behind the trees. That took some major forethought. Wonderful not so scary Halloween card!
