The Flower Challenge #44 & Double D Challenge

Hello friends.  Today I'm playing along with 2 challenges...The Flower Challenge where the challenge is Monochrome and also playing with the Double D Challenge where they've given an absolutely delightful Mood Board with all things Lavenders, Lilac, & Purple

Isn't that mood board SO lovely?!!  After seeing this it was easy to decide which color I would choose for my Monochrome card, and I had a brand new stencil from Altenew that was absolutely perfect to fit both of these challenges!  Take a look...

Altenew's Sweet Spring Stencil is a 2 part stencil, and I started with a 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Highland Heather (SU!) cardstock and stenciled the first layer using Highland Heather ink (SU!) in the top left and bottom right corners of my cardstock.

I rotated the stencil to add the 2nd layer of color using Gorgeous Grape ink (SU!), and then left the stencil in place and added just a touch of white pigment ink (with a sponge dauber) around the very outer edges of the stencil.

My sentiment is from PTI's Ribbons & Bows and was embossed with silver.  I adhered this layer to a matte and textured piece of silver cardstock and then adhered both of those layers to a white card base.  To finish I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Sequins.  A very easy card but I love how elegant it turned out, and I will use it for an anniversary or wedding card when needed.

There are so many beautiful inspiration cards from the DT's at both The Double D Challenge and also The Flower Challenge, so check them both out and play along.

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

This was stenciled!! Holy smokes what a beauty you've created!! I like the idea of a two part stencil. Sounds easier than some of the two or three part stamps!!

This is stunning Marcia! I thought it was stamped and then I read it was a stencil. Just beautiful! I love how you added just a touch of white to the edges, it really softens the look. I'm so glad to see that you linked up to the Double D "lavender & lilac" challenge. Best of luck to you!
