Everyone has Balloon stamps, stencils, and dies in their stash (right??!!), so this should be an easy and fun challenge for all of us! Remember that you need to submit 2 cards using the same stamp, stencil, or die, and that both cards need to have a different design and be for different occasions. If you have any questions about how this challenge works, then please refer to the side bar on the Twofer Post where Darnell has done an awesome job of explaining exactly how this challenge works. Sorry to keep bringing this up, but you'd be amazed at the number of entries we get each month where the cards are for the same occasion, or the design is the same but the colors are different. OK, glad we got that out of the way! Now onto the FUN!!
I am absolutely in LOVE with a small stamp set from Papertrey Ink (technically it's now called "Ink to Paper", but they'll always be Papertrey Ink to me!) called Lift Me Up that I purchased a couple months ago, and because it has Balloons in it, it worked perfectly for this challenge! Take a look:
I made a Valentine's card and a birthday card and both cards use the same heart Balloon! Let's look at the Valentine's card first:
This card is going to our youngest granddaughter Maddy (aka Eunice Cornelia or "Uni-Corn" as her big sister wanted to name her!), and she'll only be 5 months on Valentine's Day, but you can never start them out to young with a shaker card, right?!! I started by inking up a pink cloud background using A Colorful Life's Cloud Edger stencil and then building my shaker over the cloud background. I stamped the upside down teddy bear and heart balloon onto Lovely Lady cardstock (PTI) and then die cut them with the coordinating dies. The sentiment is from a PB set (flying by) and the rest of the sentiment is inside:
The inside sentiments are from MFT's Sweet Celebrations and then I repeated the teddy bear and heart balloon. Pretty CAS but it gets it's punch by being a shaker card! :0)
For my birthday card I stamped a row of the stick figures included in the stamp set across the card, and then die cut a row of rainbow heart and regular shaped balloons so they each had one to hold. I stamped the heart shaped balloons with Happy Birthday (The Greetery) and pop dotted the 2 regular balloons and then tied each with a piece of black & white twine. I also used The Greetery's Crimped Frame Die on the stamped panel and then layered with a piece of Summer Sunrise cardstock (PTI) and attached both layers to a white card base. Another pretty easy card, but I really, REALLY like the way this one turned out!! And it could be used for a child or adult, and guy or gal! A win, win!!
We're really looking forward to seeing our gallery filled with lots of colorful balloons, so check out what the rest of the DT and our Special GD Greta have to inspire you right HERE, and then play along with us! This challenge is open till the 24th.

These are both fabulous Marcia! I love Maddy's new name.... gave me a great laugh this cold, winter morning. The shaker card you made for her is adorable! But your second card is equally adorable and perfect that it can be for anyone. Well done on this challenge.
Hahahahahahaha! Eunice Cornelia! I laughed until coffee came out my nose! EuniCorn! That makes me chuckle every time I think about it! One day, Miss Maddy is going to see this, and be filled with wonder. It's absolutely adorable. Little sweetheart's first Valentine's Day card. Pink, white, shaker; it ticks all of my boxes for cute and sweet, and I'd say CAS too. Those balloons and stick figures card is perfect for a birthday. Great images in bright and happy colors. Love it! Stay warm my friend...I'll try not to send any cold across the big lake! Keep safe. xo Bev
Those stick figures are such a kick, Marcia - love them with all the balloons! And I love the upside down teddy bear too!!
These are both incredible designs, Marcia, and thank you for the rule nudge, too! I love your very clever upside down bear 'flying by' the awesome shaker card aperture to wish your little unicorn granddaughter a Happy Valentine's Day! It's a wonderful keepsake for her memory box! And your birthday card could not be more fun and festive with the stick figures and their rainbow array of balloons! It's always a plus to make a card for any age and any gender! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell
This are two fantastic cards! Shaker card with upside down turned teddy bear flying on heart formed balloon is a winner. Your granddaughter (unicorn - so sweet) will love it when she grows a little. I'm admiring how you tied all the balloons on the birthday card. If I would of try to do this, it will be only possible to see my fingers tied and glued on the card base. :-) Perfectly designed card.

Uni-Corn... haha, love it! Her big sister will probably call her that anyway as kids do those things! Two adorable cards, Marcia. I don't think I've ever seen this set, it's fun!
Wow, such fun cards...love your shaker card! And your granddaughter's name from her big sis is adorable. It will probably stick until she is about 13! My Addie was called "bug" for the longest time, especially by her dad, I think she is NOT bug now and she is 13. (It came about because her middle name is June, my Mom's name...and June bug became Addie Bug!) or just Buggie...oh my. thank you for the inspiration. Now to put my thinking cap on...
Hahahahahaha ... Unicorn ... you so had me chuckling at big sister's name for Maddy, Marcia ... so fun ... a story that's sure to become a happy family memory! Your Saint Valentine's Day card is just the sweetest ... those soft pink clouds and shaker elements make such a lovely background for that adorable upside down little bear to fly across on his heart balloon ... love that you took the design to the inside too! Those little stick people are downright fun ... they look as though they're bobbing about in the air on their rainbow balloons ... such a happy card! Hugs, Anita :)
Both of these cards are delightful, Marcia! I love all the pink and the shakers with the first card and that darling bear! The row of birthday balloons is so festive and fun and perfect for anyone's birthday! Great cards, my friend!
Marcia, what darling twofers. Those heart balloons are so cheery perfect for both your Valentine and your Birthday card.
Adorable balloon cards Marcia! I LOVE the teddy bear is upside down --- ooops ... that could be a wild ride. So pretty with the shaker element. A girl is never too young to get a bling-y card. :) Your second card is fun ... those stick figures are are endearing and love the bright balloons. What a fun stamp set! Didn't know Papertrey changed their name, thank you for keeping me up-to-date! xx
Both of these are adorable, Marcia. The upside down bear is so fun and the row of colored balloons is so pretty. Those stick figures are a hoot.
Such cute cards, Marcia! Fun we both made a card with a rainbow of balloons for a BD!
