I wish I could have captured the shimmer and shine of this card better, but my lighting and camera were NOT cooperating...grrrrr! I die cut the main body of the sleigh with Blackberry Bliss cardstock and then sprayed quite liberally with Sheer Shimmer Gold Mist, and then die cut the fancy overlay with the same cardstock and glued it to the main body of the sleigh. It really sparkles IRL!! The tree dies are also included in this set of dies, and I cut them also from the Blackberry Bliss cardstock and then added Frantage Shabby White Embossing Enamel.
I added the sleigh and trees to a panel embossed with an older Darice snowflake embossing folder, and then layered that to a piece of Balckberry Bliss cardstock and a top folding white card base. My sentiment was embossed in gold using Gina K's Ornamental Snowflakes set and then die cut using Gina's Master Layouts 3. I love everything about this card except for all the Shabby White Embossing Enamel that is all over my desk and floor...if you've ever used this stuff before you know exactly what I'm talking about...you have to heat it from below (instead of on top) and it inevitably goes flying everywhere before just some of it sticks to your cardstock!! There is gold embossing powder mixed in with the white, so I'm working in quite a white AND sparkly space right now...hahaha!!
Check out the inspiration from Jo and her special ELF Jane right HERE and then play along...this challenge is open till the end of the month.
Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

It looks like your trees have been sprinkled with powdered sugar! This is lovely. You've used one of my favorite winter embossing folders too. All I need is the sleigh, Marcia and this would be my morning view! It is April, right?
Lovely embossing on your background and sleigh Marcia - love the beautiful snowfall on the trees!
Stunning card, Marcia! What a gorgeous colour combo you've chosen and that snow effect is perfect. Wow! Thanks for playing at Christmas Kickstart with Jane and me, Jo x
Yes I know exactly what you mean about the frantage Marcia but it is so worth it as it has added fabulous texture and realism. What a stunner of a card and a fabulous winter scene, with a great colour combination too x.
Oh this is fabulous Marcia, love the festiveness and the bit of old fashioned I get.
I totally understand about that errant embossing powder, Marcia! But you captured quite a bit on your beautiful trees! I love the sleigh in Blackberry Bliss and I'm sure the sparkle is amazing!
I am pretty sure I haven't used that embossing powder - maybe I won't ever? LOL But it sure looks like the most wonderful dusting of snow to me, Marcia!
I'd love a ride in your sparkly sleigh!
Gorgeous!

Love the Blackberry Bliss sprayed with the gold for the sleigh and sprinkled with the Frantage ep for the trees - fabulous card!!
This is so pretty! I love the color you used and your snow covered trees over the snowflake embossed background. Stunning!
Absolutely fabulous, Marcia. I have that ep and just ordered the plain white chunky. I love the look and it can be messy but so worth it. It gives your trees a great dusting. The fancy sleigh is lovely and I love that deep red.
Beautiful card Marcia! Your sleigh is lovely and so are the trees with the frantage. Wonderful design! xx
I love that die cut and embossed sleigh, beautiful, and the snow-dusted trees are the perfect background for it.

Rich and wonderfully shimmery, Marcia ... the frantage-d Christmas trees are fabulous! Never used frantage ... not sure it'd go with the room that my craft corner lives in!! Hugs, Anita :)
Well that's one fine sleigh! Beautiful card and I'm laughing about the embossing enamel, poor you.
