I had fun inking and coloring up an old wooden stamp from Rubber Stampede called Santa Collage, and came up with this card...
I stamped my image in black, and then used a B34 Copic to color Santa's eyes (a little hard to see in my photo, but they really are BLUE), a gold pen to outline Santa's glasses, and then lightly added a bit of pink chalk with a q-tip to Santa's cheeks, nose, & mouth. I also used a WOS pen to make the snowflakes in his beard sparkle.
I made a frame by die cutting a rectangle from the center of my 4" x 5 1/4" panel, and then embossed it using a SU! ef called Winter Snow. I used foam strips on the back of the embossed panel for a bit of dimension, and then added a pre-printed sentiment strip from Gina K.
Let us help you get a head start on those Christmas cards by pulling out your SANTA stamps and joining the DT and our special GD over at the CAS Christmas Challenge...this challenge is open till the 24th.

I LOVE this amazing Santa image, Marcia. You have used it to perfection with your white on white card but just hints of colour for your Santa face. The snowflake embossed frame is perfect. Love this card!!! xx
That is just the best Santa image - the loving gift giver we all wait for on Christmas eve! Beautiful soft coloring on his cheeks and nose Marcia - and lovely snowflake embossing on the framing! xx
Your old-fashioned Santa image is fabulous, Marcia! I love how you gave him a touch of color and framed him with all that lovely embossing...Gorgeous card! xx
What a great Santa card, Marcia! The wide snowflake embossed frame draws the eye to Santa, and your coloring makes him look so cool! Love his blue eyes, gold glass frame, and subtle pink here and there!
Happy 4th, my friend!
Hideko xx
Spectacular card, Marcia!! Love all of the white with those hints of color you've added to Santa! His rosy cheeks and nose with the gold glasses... come on!!
I sure do love this image of old saint nick. You did an amazing job coloring him with just the right hint of color. The embossed frame is so sweet too. Well done, my friend!
Marcia, this is the most wonderful Santa of all, and I think he's going to be extra generous when he visits your chimney this Christmas as you've really done an extraordinary job of coloring his image - absolutely stunning!

p.s. Is there such a thing as 'reserving' a Christmas card? You know like "I'm calling dibs!"
Marcia... fabulous card! Love the image, the background and the layout!!
This has to be one of the best Christmas cards ever, Marcia. The image itself is fabulous but the little bit of color brings him to life yet keeps the card rather vintage looking. I think you need to make more of these. We're all going to want one. ;)
I love that old stamp! And the snowflake embossed frame is perfect to tie in with the snowflakes in the stamp! A fabulous card!
This is one of the most beautiful Santa images I’ve ever seen! Adding a touch of light colours was the perfect way to enhance but not detract from his classic look. The embossed snowflake bg makes this even more magical. Awesome card.
This is one of my favorite Santa stamps and I love how you've done the subtle coloring, Marcia! Awesome framing that shows him off just right!
Such a dramatic Santa image - love, love, love it Marcia! So gorgeous with the embossed frame!!
one of my favourite old Santa's, I have this stamp and really should pull it out. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration ♥
Marcia, this Santa has to be in the category of the best of the best Santa's! He is fabulous and I love how he is surrounded by all those snowflakes and even has them in his beard! A creative and clever card! Heart Hugs, Col
