Color Hues Color Challenge #73 - CORAL & BLUE

Hello friends.  Where did September go?  Is it starting to feel like Fall in your neck of the woods?  Here at the Color Hues Color Challenge, Cindy is our hostess and she has chosen CORAL & BLUE for these first couple weeks of Fall.

Whether you choose to use these colors as Fall inspiration or something else completely different (like me!), we'd LOVE to see you in our gallery using these 2 colors!  I decided to go Christmas since I am way behind this year and need to get moving!  Here's what I came up with using a couple PFS products from last year...

I started by die cutting my background with PFS's Snowflakes cover plate die, and put a piece of blue glitter cardstock behind it for some sparkle and shine.  I used PFS's Floral Bauble embossed in gold and then stenciled with Slumber, Blue Jay & Coral Reef inks (PFS), and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I used a bit of foam tape to give some dimension to the bow, the leaves and sentiment, which was embossed in white on a scrap of blue cardstock that also comes from the Floral Bauble stamp set.  Pretty untraditional colors for Christmas, but I really like the way this turned out and just may have to use this color combo on some more Christmas cards!

We would love to see YOU in our gallery and have lots of inspiration from our DT and Special GD's (Trina, Fran & Jolanda) for you right HERE.  This challenge is open till Oct. 14th @ 9:00AM.

Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

It might be untraditional where we live, but Fall probably looks just like this in the tropics, right?
It's gorgeous, Marcia! LOve that coverplate - put it on the pile, please?

ps one Christmas I decorated my real tree with nothing but white twinkle lights, wide wired ribbon and dried hydrangeas! Talk about untraditional!

No fall in sight here in FL. (Maybe in January. LOL!) This is beautiful. I love the sparkle that peeks through the background and these colors make a very unusual holiday card. (and unusual in a good way.)
